I saw this on Fox last night...a trailer for their new show "Standoff" in the Fall '06 lineup.

http://www.fox.com/programming/

Under "New Series" click "Standoff"

It has Gina and one of my favorite actors, Ron Livingston. And it's on Fox.

It's doomed!

Good for Gina. Glad to see she's more or less continuosly working.

I wouldn't be so sure the show is doomed just because it's on Fox. Grudges aside, any new show is a gamble, with a high probability of cancellation if it doen't hit right out of the gate. Sure, Fox has cancelled some great shows, but those calls, as much as we might hate them, were made for sound business decisions at the time.

And Fox doesn't cancel every cool new show. I like Bones, and it'll be back next year.

The big question for me is: Will the show be good enough to give a damn (Gina's involvment alone is no garuntee), and: Will Fox have a clue how to market it effectively(unlike Firely)?

Time will tell.

Oh ye of little faith. For shame.

It's not necessarily doomed. Take Hercules for example. Gina guest-starred on the show many times before it went off the air. She's also been on The Shield and 24 (I think), which are both still going strong. Fox may have a horrible track record regarding keeping good shows on the air, but they aren't completely hopeless. After all, House is going on its third season.

Edit: Hey, guys, two of our BDH's are going to be back on TV! Yipeee!

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

I saw that trailer last night (during 24, I think it was) - Gina looks wonderful. Basically, she looks like Zoe in the Big City.

I love Ron too... ever since I saw him in Office Space way back when. Looooved him in Band of Brothers.

I don't think she was ever on 24, but she was on Alias, which lasted.

The new show looks pretty lame, though. I don't want my hostage standoff shows to be romantic. Bleh.

It's also good to see that horrid ad copy writers can still find work, "There’s no crisis situation they can’t handle ... unless it involves each other." I can only hope the show is better than the publicity but judging from that line that shouldn't be hard.

She was on 24. In the third season, I believe. It's been a while since I watched her eps, but if memory serves, she played the wife of one of Pres. Palmer's supporters.

Did she play the wife of the guy who needed pills and she didn't give them to him? I think that was why Palmer had to resign from being the president. I forgot about that.

Don't know. I lost the thread of the story halfway though that season - the cost of missing a couple eps of 24. I have the DVDs, but just havn't quite gotten around to watching them.

Yep. From IMDB ... she was on season 3 of "24" (7 episodes) -

That gives me a reason to check out season 3 (never got past season 2).

Season 1 was brilliant. One of the great seasons of television.

Season 2 was good, but had a really unrealistic moment and overall wasn't as strong as season 1.

Season 3 had its ups and downs, and they totally threw out the "real time", "its all one day" thing. Still an overall good show. I am sure Chase could have a giant hole driven into his hand, and then punch people out with that hand two hours later.

Season 4 was preposterous, its worst season ever. The first 8 to 10 weeks were good, then it it just went down the toilet.

Season 5 again has had its ups and downs, but more downs than ups. I haven't watched the finale yet, but I hope it ends on a good note.

The biggest problem starting since season 3 is the bad guys have way too many different plans, and they aren't always progressively worse. For example, in season 4, there was a plot to have every nuclear power plant have a meltdown and destroy every city major city in the country, yet later, they have a plan to launceh a nuke at L.A. Why did they plan a Nuke to L.A.? It had already been planned to be destroyed from the meltdowns.
