Has anybody enjoyed seeing it? I liked it even though it was confusing at times.

Hahaha! Mine is an evil laugh... Now die!

RELFEXIVE

I've seen it, and I usually pick up on things and fill in the blanks fairly easily. But it was like reading the second book in a series without even knowing the first existed; there were lots of things that weren't even vaguely explained.

"My God - you're like a trained ape. Without the training."
"Come a day there won't be room for naughty men like us to slip about at all..."
"SUMMER!!"

It was, at times, somewhat confusing, but I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to Day Watch, but have not yet seen it anywhere.

Wow - that's weird! I just saw this Tuesday when a friend brought it over, had never heard of it before, but since then I've been spouting off about it to everyone! I just loved how they handled the subtitles. Genius! And somehow you could follow the dialogue without missing the amazing visuals.

I was under the impression that one couldn't get to the second and third movies yet, not in the US anyway. How did you get to see Day Watch??

My Mom is Russian, and she had a business trip to go to. She picked up the DVD in one of the Marketplaces, and she brought it back here. I like the Night/Daywatch series because the writer feels like the Russian Version of Joss Whedon.

Yeh I watched it in Russian as I feel the dub would have ruined it. You dont notice the subtitles after 10 minutes and you also learn a little russian on the way .LOL

Whatever you do, don't watch the Night Watch movie with the American Dubbing! They completely ruin the characters' personas by giving them these hugely Russian accents.

"Hey Bear! What do we do?"

"We should talk to Fearless Leader."

Hahaha! Mine is an evil laugh... Now die!

I got lucky and saw it in the theaters with the subtitles. I think the Russian adds to the atmosphere of the movie.

I think it was one of my fave movies of the year so far. I did a review if anyone cares to read. :) http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art41467.asp

I can't wait until Day Watch is available here, but I heard a nasty rumor that the third of the trilogy is actually going to be shot in English with a huge Hollywood budget. I think that'll kill the underground feel of the story, but I guess we'll have to see.

No, I agree with you ZenGirl, just I saw it a second to time without sub-titles, it was like Bad Americanized Russian Accents.

I hate dubbing - I'd always rather have subtitles.

I saw clips of Nathan in Slither dubbed into French and the guy sounds NOTHING like our BDH. The only thing they left in of Nate was him screaming when the zombies were spitting mucus...and it's such a manly scream. LOL

This is weird! My sister and I had never heard of this show and we got it on Netflix, last Thursday, watched it, thought it was strangely interesting, and are waiting for the next movie to be available, but no one we know has ever heard of it! How funny to find it here!

Yeah...that is what unfortunately happened to me. I think that the movie was still pretty good but I'm looking to find the one without the dubbing.
