Sorry if this is a re-post, but I checked and googled and didn't find a thread about this.

I was watching Dark Angel on SciFi tonight (7/17), and they showed previews for Dead Like Me, which SciFi is going to be showing Tuesdays according to the ad and the listings at TVGuide.com.

If you don't know what Dead Like Me is, I'd suggest you check out IMDB, and at least watch the pilot episode. Dry gallows humor, clever writing, and interesting characters and stories. Not Firefly (of course, nothing else is!) but better than most, in my opinion.

I've never seen it, but it looks pretty good. I'm gonna give it a try.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

The only problem with this being on SciFi is that if they saw fit to edit out the word crotch from the episode "Ariel" then you know DLM will be full of bleeps. They dropped as many F-bombs on that show as there are c***s***ers in Deadwood.

I own both seasons, but I will be setting my VCR to record...yes I still own a VCR...for the ratings, cause I love Bryan Fuller. He was the executive producer and creator, as well as he worked with Todd Holland on Wonderfalls, who had Jewel Staite on it! Surprisingly, Rebecca Gayheart was on Dead Like Me in the first season but left, and she was the original Inara on Firefly too! Oh and you get a guest appearance of Jewel on the season finale. It's a great show, hope everyone watches it!

I'm watching it right now. I will miss the cursing, but I really forgot how much I loved this show. Glad it's back on TV!

Hooray!

I only own 2 TV series on DVD and they're "Firefly" and "Dead Like Me" (both seasons); I've also given both as gifts to friends and family. I really like the dark humor and the ability to have the episodes be sad and hilarious at the same time.

I've been tempted to pick up a "Der Waffle Haus" t-shirt over at CafePress (I've already gotten a couple of great Firefly-themed ones there); the person selling it is also a Browncoat so there are clearly more than a few of us out there who love both shows.

I hope they get great ratings; maybe we can get another season or two, or a movie follow-up from them, too!

I own both series of Dead Like Me on DVD, awesome show.

They just started showing Wonderfalls in Oz last night & it looks like a show that I can get hooked on. Imagine to my surprise though to find out that Fox cancelled the series after 4 episodes :(

The people at Fox do not seem to understand what good television is.

I've just finished watching seasons 1 and 2 on dvd, liked it, maybe really liked it, but didn't love it. Is there a season 3? MORBID AND CREEPIFYING to think of live person (country club guy) shagging the undead (George/Milly).

Life is short, brutal, and unpredictable. EAT DESSERT FIRST.

Ok, I tried it. Definatly different. Well done, no question about it. And that lil actress,Ellen Muth? ....wowza. She kinda reminds me of a young Laura San Giamoco. I kinda see a likeness....

My kind of cute.

Per the show, I'm not so sure it's all I hoped. I'm not all that keen on the focus of death. I was less enthusiastic about watching 6 Feet Under, before I saw it. That I ended up liking well enough. Good show. But DLM, it seems to trivialize our interactions w/ others, family , and our existance on Earth. I'll give it a bit more eps before I make a call either way. It's as though I want to like it, but something just isn't quite right.

Yeah, I know..it's a me thing. * shrugs *

I just saw it for the first time on Sci-Fi and it was very good. Now I know why it got really good reviews. I do have to say that after seeing Rebecca Gayheart actually try to act, I am so happy she was NOT Inara. To be honest I don't even think I can picture her as Inara, not that I want to anyway.

First time I saw Rebecca onscreen, those were my thoughts to. Nice lookin' gal, but definatly not Morena.

I mean, c'mon! Do I have to spell it out for ya?

Yes, we are, and I think there were only two seasons, right? Or is it still running? (We're just about done with Netflixing season 1 and loving it.)

oooooh! i love Dead Like Me!!
Does anyone else have the dvds? they rock! we only have seasons 1 and 2 on dvd here in Australia. the show is so randomly funny...and yet the main character, george is kinda annoying. for the entire first season i was like, 'your dead! GET OVER IT!!! theres nothing you can do about it! BAH!'
but i really love Rube.

Dark Angel is also one of the funkiest shows ever.

I'm loving Dead Like Me. I saw the first episode on HBO or Showtime or wherever it originally aired, but for some reason didn't watch the rest. Now that I've seen a few more these last few weeks, I'll probably be adding it to my NetFlix or maybe even keeping an eye out for the DVDs to go on sale. George reminds me of a girl I had a crush on in high school, only without the idiot redneck boyfriend that treats her like crap.

Saw the Jewel episode last night. Great stuff.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

The wife & I got to meet Ellen Muth at Dragon Con this past weekend. We noticed her at the Mandarin Palace when we were having dinner Thursday night, but she was busy talking to friends, so we left her alone. On Friday afternoon we saw her in the vendor room looking at jewelry, so we approached her and asked for a picture. She was very nice and accomodating of pictures. She gladly chatted with us about "Dead Like Me" for a while and some of the pet charities she is currently involved with.

Yup, I was the same way. I saw the DVD's at Hollywood Video and ended up renting & watching both seasons in about a week. What a great show. Damn shame there is no more.

Little parts still live on and I have a few things on my website to keep it close to those of them that need showin' the Verse that great TV can never really fade away.

I suppose since it's run a few times on Sci-Fi now I should get the Der Waffle Haus t-shirt printed. I only ran a few samples and kept most for myself but everytime I wear them folks ask me where they can get one.

Only two seasons. I started watching it just before season 2 aired and what quite pissed when I hear that it got canceled.

Season 1 is *far* better than season 2, but season 2 is still worth watching (very much so in fact).

It's great to hear that it'll get a wider audience now
