Actually they are planning on having lots of flashbacks and whatnot to fill in the blanks. Like through character interaction and so forth.

================================================
I love the Castro, because if somebody grabs my ass, I know they're picking my pocket.

NOskillz, Torrents are to slow? Maybe for an older torrent. But when BSG torrents go up you have hundreds of seeders and peers and the download is QUICK. I got it in less than an hour @about 189kb ave. down. off of isohunt using bittornado for a client I got season two while sleeping last week maybe 9-10 hrs.

WEREALLJUSTFLOATING

So having discovered this show this past summer, I spent the past few months becoming totally hooked on BSG through downloads and DVDs.

My tip to anyone considering buying the DVDS - download or rent the miniseries first. If that doesn't hook you, nothing will. I bought the mini on DVD, got to the end, immediatley sent it back and ordered the 1st season box set. NB: get region 1 as it's much better value, includes the mini, and has lots more extras than region 2.

But I think I was a little too excited for my own good because I wasn't quite as amazed as I expected to be. But I am really looking forward to the new season, as I think this show has so much going for it. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the premiere, because I did. Some favourite moments :

Select to view spoiler:

the scene between Roslin and Baltar when he asks to look hin in the eye and condone the suicide bombings, and she can't do it. I also loved the argument between Tigh, Anders and Tyrol. Of course we know, as Tigh does, that Adama WILL come back for them, but I really liked how Anders pointed out that he would have been left for dead on Caprica were it not for Starbuck - cos it's so true. I also loved the later scene between the two Adamas, when the Admiral says he must go back this time, that he couldn't live with himself if he didn't. I just love Adama when he gets all heroic and noble!!

Did anyone watch the premiere without seeing the webisodes first?

I'm curious because I found the Jammer and Duck stories were really fleshed out in the webisodes, and I can't imagine them resonating the same way if you only watched the show itself.

We're still flying.

That's not much.

It's enough.

What I want to know is whatever happened to Lee's depression? It showed up once at the end of 'Pegasus part 2' when he told Starbuck that he wished he would have died after he ejected from the Blackbird. After that, it was never really brought up. Is he still suicidal? Is that why Lee gained so much weight? Will they go into more detail in this season? This bugs me because it looks like they were setting him up for some major character developement, but they just dropped it.

You're welcome on my boat. God ain't.

I couldn't agree more.

When Baltar was forced to sign the execution order, It was, for me, a truly heart wrenching moment. You could see it in his eyes that he was a broken man, and I couldn't help but feel an enourmous amount of pity for him. Baltar's internal conflict makes him, in my opinion, the most interesting character in the new season so far. I can't wait to see how things turn out for the resident schitzophrenic/genius/traitor/president

I love Baltar, I think James Callis is one of the most talented actors on the show and the character is one of the most complex. I do miss the hilariously funny moments from earlier in the show, before he became President, as no-one else on the show even come close to being as funny as that man when he's trying have two conversations at once!

What are people's thought's on the Six in his head? I personally think she has little if any connection to the other Cylons. I think for me the most logical explanation is that she's actually a part of Baltar's own brain, his conscience or his own personal little devil/angel on his shoulder. I think he's actually a bit prescient, and that explains how she can warn him when something bad is about to happen.

The other explanation I could buy is that she really is an angel of God sent to guide him. Either way she seems to have no real realtionship to the physical Six that we see on the show. She even has very different personality IMO. Much more siniser and seductive, while the physical Six is more human and vulnerable. I would like to see a scene with the two Sixes and Baltar together, to see how that would play out...

We're still flying.

That's not much.

It's enough.

I wanna see more of the polished imaginary Baltar that lives inside Six's head (proof to me that Dream-Six isn't a Cylon plot --at least not intentionally).

Man, imagine a conversation between Six and Baltar. You'd have four people in the room. . .

Baltar asking six "Are you saying I'm a Cylon?"

in the "this season on BSG" at the end of the premiere you mean? I'm not saying it's not something that we all haven't thought at some point - in fact I've done my fair share of ranting at the BSG folks for leaving such an obvious possibility unstated for so long. But they'd done a fair job of seeming to rule it out with recent events, so to thrust it back in our faces at this point is pretty spoilerish to me...

I'm SURE it's supposed to annoy us... intrigue us... fascinate us. All the "Previously on Battlestar Galactica" scenes that we have NEVER seen are making me crazy!

BTW, we still don't have SciFi, so get this: I go in my neighbor's BASEMENT and hook into her cable and watch it (with her permission) - she won't let her kids see anything that violent so she doesn't want it played on their main family TV.

I bet they never bothered to make more copies. He obviously isn't worth making more of. What an idiot.
