Feeling sad. Tony Lobue's Flash Gordon Forum is closed again. He gets spammed and hacked a lot. I hope it returns, but the frustration must be getting to him.

The site is still up so you can read the history of the early Flash Gordon and see pictures. But it is nice to share with others. I hope this is only temporary.

Think I'll send him an Email and ask.

I am just afraid of the answer.

Hello Kaneman:

I know I'm giving away my age when I discuss the old Flash Gordon series but it is my start toward enjoying science fiction. They did it with very little cash and came up with a cult classic. I know it doesn't come near to Firefly.
Not just because they didn't have the technology but the producers were only trying to find away to bring people back to the theaters week after week to see how the plot line was going.

Priscilla Lawson who played Princees Aura.
Proof that a six year old can have a crush.

Hello Kaneman:

Just adding a new post because I was a member of Non-notification Club so my replies weren't getting through. Also gives me a chance to add more pictures.

Thanks for the info,...I loved Flash, it was sooo
cool, and I remember reading that Leonard Nimoy appeared in one of them. I still watch it, on DVD and love seeing the way they handled "technology" in those days. I wonder if years from now, when we look at "our BDM" if it will look as primative.
Hope the site stays up without any more trouble.

The site is doing fine. Of course it is much smaller than this site, but the fandom is just as fanatical. I guess that is where the term fan came from. Makes sense. And of courses this gives me another opportiunity to add another picture.

Princess Aura, my first love.

Priscilla Lawson played the role of Princess Aura.
Unfortunately she died at a very young age and Flash Gordon "Space Soldiers" is the only existing work I can find of her's.

Enjoy

The actor that played Flash Gordon, appeared in a Buck Rogers in the 25Th Century episode.

I thought that was cool.

This is a series I'd like to see revisited. A movie possibly combining Flash and Buck. As long as it doesn't end up like Sky Captain...

Hello Safeat2nd:

Buster Crabbe also did a series of Buck Rodgers back in the thirties. He finally made the big time with Tarzan. He actually had a TV show about the French Foreign Legion. I only have vague memories of that show. It is quite possible you can get DVD's of it. I have come across DVD's of lesser known programs. And of course I use this opportunity to place another photograph.

after they land on Mongo

Buster Crabbe could really ham it up.
He never saw a dime for making about 45 episodes in three adventures.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed them.
