Woah, Larry Niven's "Ringworld" is apparently being made into a 4 hour mini series by Sci-Fi...

I've searched but can't find anything more than these barest details... anyone know any more? I hope they don't make a pig's ear. Gotta see CGI Puppeteers...

Now, what I'd really like to see would be a screen version of Greg Bear's "Eon" and "Eternity".

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Please note the dateline on that story - Tuesday, April 6, 2004.

I have not heard anymore about that, nor their supposed production of at least the first book in Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy.

Ooh, this merits some attention! I'd like to see this done properly...would be a very good show! I'd like to see how they do the K'zin myself.

Yeah that's great. But doesn't it make you think, why can't they do a mini series or made for TV movie set in the 'verse? You could have many if not most of the Firefly/Serenity characters, new situations, capers, villains, etc. There is so much there, why don't they use it!

Man, that is old news! Half of the things in production were already released long ago.

FARSCAPE: PEACEKEEPER WAR, EARTHSEA, SPECIES III, ALIEN APOCALYPSE, and EUREKA are all already either on the air or already gone to DVD a long time ago!

EDIT: I just searched through the SciFi channel site and the only things I could find about Ringworld were a couple of book reviews for Ringworld Throne and Ringworld's Children. It looks like SciFi may have dropped the project alltogether.
