No, I'm not referring to the guitar-playing werewolf, but to the prison-based drama that played on HBO. It's gritty, emotional, and best of all, real. These people aren't just criminals, they're human. Very well acted and scripted by all.

And the coolest thing of all? It has it's own musical episode. Course, it tends to be a lot more disturbing and creepifying than OMWF.

Well worth a watch if you're into that kind of thing.

BLUEMOONSTUFF

I caught a few episodes of the first season and thought it was pretty good. On-Demand has been running it on and off for the last few months but I don't want to watch them out of order. One of these days I'll break down and rent the first season.

I watched it. Addictive, but the graphic violence had a very real effect on my feeling of personal security. Not for the squeamish...

No squeamishness allowed watching Oz, definitely. It's really effected how I look at the prison system. I know certain liberties are taken with the stories, creative license and all, but you really start to wonder how much is really true.

What affects me the most is Cyril's character. I mean, here is a man that killed someone, and yet you feel so much sympathy for him. Watching him and Ryan interact is one of my favorite parts of the show.

And am I the only one that's creeped out by Chris Meloni (Keller)? I can't even watch Law And Order SVU now.

SHINYED

I caught one episode a while back....had to do with a prisoner under alot of pressure from an inmate "boss".....he goes to see a priest to validate that he's a human being...and asks if it's ok to do ANYTHING to survive in prison...I don't recall how that conversation went, but at the end of the show this guy was spread-eagled against a wall grimacing in agony while the other guy was doing something vile to his behind with a spoon. At that point I said I dont need to see any more of this sick shit.
