Okay, so finally moving towards Baltar's trial. Of course, it's great as always to see Firefly actors doing other projects, especially projects that I love. So here we go...

First, I totally understand the concept of many people wanting Baltar dead, and the bombs attempting to assassinate his attorneys. What I didn't understand was who was behind it. I understand Kelly explaining that he feels responsible for so much death, but perhaps I missed why that motivated him to do what he was doing. Of course, he is innocent until proven guilty, and his confession might not jive for a reason.

Second, Mark Shepard. I think he did a good job, and I'm happy I'll see more of his character in the coming episodes. Still don't trust him as far as I can throw him though. I do like how he seems to be able to understand a person better than themselves with only a personal item which he "borrows." I guess that would make someone a good lawyer, as they know exactly how to get at the judge and jury...and I'm sure we'll see that.

Good to have Caprica Six back in the show. Who knows what she'll have to say at the trial, if she testifies. Eh, she'll look great either way.

It's interesting how Lee and Anders are on there way to being buddies. I wonder if he will try to become the great officer that Lee said he'd make...that would be an interesting plot line.

Then there's Lee, who apparently is trying to pull "A Few Good Men" on us. It'll be interesting to see how he acts during the trial. He wasn't on New Caprica, so he doesn't have that hatred for Baltar, so he may just see something about Baltar that others don't. And of course the interaction of the Adamas is interesting, especially with Lee's grandfather thrown into the mix.

And finally, have the writers forgotten about what Gaeta is apparently so ashamed of? It better come out in the trial, because I'm so curious about that...well, and the final five Cylons, but I think I may already know one of them...

I think they (the writiers) have been letting a lot of things bubble and build under the surface since they got off New Caprica and that a lot of it is going to come out during the trial.

I also like Lee and Anders being buddies. I really hope Anders finds a real place in the show. I like his character and hate that since he was rescued from Caprica that he has been relegated to Starbuck's man. Not that he should join the service or anything...but maybe Roslyn's bodyguard or something.

Loved the quote at the end. Can't wait till next week.

Don't squat with your spurs on.

I wonder if the new attorney is going to turn out to be one of the 5 unknown Cylon models.

He isn't but his cat is! Not to mention the furball is psychic too. See how it ran from the shuttle averting disaster.

Seriously though this was a great episode. Things look to be pretty interesting between Lee and Bill. His interest in aiding Baltar appears to be motivated more by the conflict with his father than anything else.

The interrogation of Caprica Six was the high point for me. Either she is doing one hell of an acting job or really isn't sure about what she is going to say at the trial. Mark Shepard was brilliant in this scene and gave an outstanding performance throughout the episode. One thing, what was the deal with the sunglasses? He didn't remove them until he came to the big point. Wonder if that was some sort of signal.

With Starbuck gone this is a great chance for Anders to grow as a character. During his drunken rant I expected him to haul off and belt Lee. Instead they are bonding over the loss of someone they both loved.

Can't wait for next week, the preview with Tigh and Six looked great.

Sorry but BSG has jumped the shark imo.

Starved as I am for scifi entertainment I will continue to tune in but my god, my suspension of disbelief is worn out by the lame way they attempt to make fleet life a microcosm of ordinary life.

Come on, less than 50,000 people with most being military will not have major security problems and they would be living under martial law.
