The production was so grand- I think they lost sight of the nonsense.

One thing sticks in my craw- REAL BAD- why did the dead, charred, didget-missing girl have her beautiful face and life-like, non-water-bloated eyes intact?
Oh, 'cause Denzel would have a hard time love-fixating on a crispy, waterlogged semi-skinless mess, right?

A nice idea torpedoed by dumb-ness.

Heavily not recommended.
Watch Back To The Future instead.

STORYMARK

The two guys who wrote it post to a writer's message board I post to occationally (one co-own the site) posted about the movie just before it came out. They didn't go into detail, for contractual reasons and such, but it was clear they were pretty frustrated at what went on, on-set. Apparently there was a lot of politicking going on amongst the producers, and the script kept getting changed around durring shooting. Apparently, whole sequences were shot, even after they were cut from the script, and some plot points were never filmed at all.

GROUNDED

I'm with CIA on this one. I saw Deja Vu in the cinema with 2 other people and we all came out of it gobsmacked by the badness.

And Tony Scott usually directs such entertaining flicks (SEE: The Last Boyscout).

Actually I was surprised how bad it was because I'd read some good reviews. One even graded it an A...
