This will make sense only to those who have 1) seen all of series 3 and 2) are into Terry Pratchett, but I know you are out there somewhere.

It was all a bit 'clap if you believe in fairies', but it worked. Gotta say, there are definitely browncoats in the mix - not just the storyline in New New York - 'bliss', anyone? - but a whole vibe coming off that series. Or is it just me?

On the Pratchett front - David Tennant as Moist Von Lipwig. It would work.

It's not just you. Doctor Who is the only series since I watched Buffy and Angel that has seriously addicted me. Plot, character development, making with the drama and the funny; as far as I'm concerned, it can do no wrong.

And while I've never read Terry Pratchett, any excuse to see more of David Tennant is fine by me. Even better, add John Barrowman into the mix, and then we'll have a real party.

I am trying very hard NOT to imagine Captain Jack in the 'Verse. He is a force for naughtiness. Besides, he'd try and chat up Simon, and Kayleigh would get huffy, and then he'd suggest a threesome...come on, you just know it.

LOL! Yes, I loves me some naughty Jack. Though honestly, I think he'd go for Mal first. Which would be a fascinating and demented story in and of itself.

Oh dear. Now I have this image of Capt Jack in place of Saffron in Our Mrs Reynolds.
Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!
Must....delete....from.....mind.....

Pratchett fans that are Browncoats??
Count me in. Currently working my way through the audiobooks, having read many of the paperized versions in an earlier regeneration (the one where I had free time).
Not read/listened to Going Postal yet, so I haven't really noticed if Von Lipwig is like Tennant.

Now you come to mention it... However, no eagle-launched ballistic tortoises were involved & as you say, Peter Pan was there first.

I think Tennant is more of a Rincewind than a Moist. However, most of the attempts to bring Pratchett to the screen have somehow failed to set the world alight - although last year's Hogfather got it pretty spot-on visually, it suffered from jumping straight into book 3-4 of a sub-series and missing a shedload of previous character development.

Yeah, most of 'Hogfather' was spot on, but I still see Brian Blessed as Ridcully (and Stephen Fry as his brother!) Weirdly enough, I see David Jason in his Del Boy years as Dibbler, but a good deal of his Frost years in Vimes...

I need to get out more.

Mind you, I'd like to see 'Good Omens' on the big screen - Alan Rickman, Mackenzie Crook and Nicole Kidman, and the voice of maybe Patrick Stewart as the Four...

WHOOPS

Definatly seems like Catherine Tate is going to be the next companion for the Dr. Which i think will ruin it i hate Catherine Tate she cant act and she isnt funny so why bother having her. Im sure they could of got someone good.

Makes her a home." Mal

By the way, I was listening to Going Postal on CD today and you're right, David Tennant would be just perfect!

Has anyone seen him as Jackamo Cassanova in the BBC production? And I thought I couldn't possibly fancy him more! Wow!

Oh, yes, indeed. Something about a man in tight breeches and a naughty grin...

Or failing that, a big nasty man with a gun. Just found out that AB will be at D*C this year, and I failed to get my go-se together in time to go! Wah!!

I now have this picture in my head of Simon and Jayne as Pin and Tulip. That is so wrong...
