Thank god. What a piece of crap that show was! That woman (she *was* the BloodRayne girl, right?) is quite possibly the WORST actress EVER! In the history of acting! I really don't think I'm exaggerating, either. How the hell does she manage to land staring roles?!?

Oh wait. It's the boobs, right? Be willing to flash some boob and the actual acting skills become secondary?

<==== disgusted

Patsy: When you were two years old, we tied you to the central reservation of a motorway.

Edina: But you were like a homing pidgeon, sweetie....back within a week!

When the show was first being advertised I had a conversation with a co-worker which went something like this.

Me: "That woman who played the baddie in T3 is getting her own show on Sci-Fi".

Co-worker: "I wonder who she sexed up to get that part".

Me: (Laughing) "Come on now it's not like she's starring on the flagship show for a major network, just some rinky-dink new series on Sci-Fi".

Co-worker: "She is a terrible actress, the only way she can get work is by putting out.

Don't know if I agree with his assessment but it still makes me laugh. The show itself was quite poorly executed all around. I watched the first episode and half of the second before I gave up on it. The Flash Gordon series seems to be following the same disastrous path, I won't be surprised to hear of it's cancellation shortly.

I got to watch High School Musical 2 and Hannah Montana instead of Flash Gordon on Friday, but I heard I didn't miss much. /shrug

As for PKJ, I'm not sorry to see it go. Now in all honesty, I am somewhat twitterpated with Kristanna Loken. She's a pretty girl; but yes, a horrible actress. Her gratuitous sex scene in Bloodrayne made me weep for her soul . But I still think she's pretty.

The show however, was horrible. It didn't even follow the storyline from the "SciFi Original Movie". I mean, come on! That would have been 1000 times more interesting, especially if they were able to use Emmanuelle Vaugier again. But alas....SciFi strikes again...

Yes, yes, Stega, Kristanna *is* very pretty. But I wish she would have stuck with her modeling (see imdb.com). So we could all admire her beauty... in silence. No talking would be preferable.

And OMG! Did you *really* mention Emmanuelle Vaugier!?! The woman who played Rae in Water's Edge (with our beloved Captain)?!?

Funny, that, since as I was posting my original message I almost typed:
"quite possibly the WORST actress EVER or at least ties with Emmanuelle Vaugier, who held that title until recently."

Seriously, when I watched Water's Edge with my best friend, we laughed so hard at her and Daniel Baldwin's acting... and that Sheriff... Funniest death scene ever, people!
"Oh! Nathan Fillion shot me!" *grunt* *looks shocked* *falls to knees* *wobbles for five minutes* *moans* *falls face-first in mud* *twitches*

*twitches again*

*is dead*

Also the longest death scene ever. Almost Monty Python-esque. We laughed heartily.

And laughed even harder when Emanuelle Vaugier finally opened her mouth to speak.

Edina: But you were like a homing pidgeon, sweetie....back within a week!

Flash Gordon? Oh my God, the acting it that show is far worse than PKJ (and that's saying a lot). I watched the pilot... somehow. I'm still not sure how i made it through the whole episode. About twenty minutes into it, i wanted to smash my TV so such crap could never again spew forth from it.

"I refuse to submit,
To the god you say is kind.
I know what's right, and it is time,
It's time to fight, and free our minds!

Our spirits were forged in snow and ice,
To bend like steel forged over fire.
We were not made to bend like reed,
Or to turn the other cheek!"

In all honesty, I haven't followed Emmanuelle Vaugier's career. I just thought she did pretty good in the original Painkiller Jane. She HAS to be better than Kristanna in the PKJ department, even if she's not an overall onderful actress.

the only thing PKJ had going for it was, that even as abysmal as it was, its still better than Flash Gordon.

but, what can you expect from a sci-fi network that airs rasslin'

I have to completely agree with you here. Everytime I catch an episode of Flash Gordon (never on purpose mind you) I siti n wonderment on how any of those folks got a job as an actor. The chick that plays Ming's daughter makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon whenever she opens her mouth.

/sigh...One of these days we'll get a real network that truly caters to the desires of their viewers. Well, at least one that doesn't require the actors to disrobe (although, nothing really wrong with that either!).
