This looks really good.
It looks like decided to not pander to the PG-13 crowd and give us something that is truly Aliens Vs Predator.

Well... it's more violent, I'll give it that. But I'll wait and see what I hear about the quality of the story before I get excited.

The first one could have used more gore, but that was far from it's biggest problem.

Holy shit! That's the first trailer I've seen in a long time which convinced me to see a movie. It was better than the entire AVP film.

There was an AVP movie before this one? Really? Strangely, I don't seem to *choke* recall.

Well certainly looks very interesting.

Good to see fox going for a cast of unknowns and two relatively unknown directors also. The fact that the brothers are visual effects experts shows through in the trailer. Lets hope it's good.

I liked the First AVP. I have the extended cut. I can't remember the last time I saw a restricted trailer (the red instead of the green beginning.) The thing I like most about AVP was that they kept true to both the established mythologies. I hope they don't throw those away.

Yeah i'm looking forward to this so much. The first movie was so so but i do have faith that this one will redeem the AvP movie franchise somewhat.

I could never understand how a movie with such a plethora of background and source material could turn out the way it did but hey what can you do.

Umm.....wow?

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

I’m not terribly amped about this. I’m with storymark in the wait and see camp. If I can reasonably expect the story to be good, then I might go see it.

Not every movie is meant to be The Godfather. Why not simply enjoy it for what it is, an in your face action romp.

This looks AWESOME!!!!! Hopefully it's better than the first one.

The first one was okay, it was just kinda aimed more towards the younger teen audience.

Because I’ve already seen the in your face action romps. Movies are like heroine. The first hit is great, but each time you need a little bit more. Now, I’m a junky. In order to get my fix, it’s got to be good shit, man.

Judging by the trailer you probably would be better served not seeing this movie. The plot looks fairly straightforward and I seriously doubt there will be any major twists involved. From what I can tell it will be something like this:

1. Vessel with face huggers crashes on earth
2. Predators follow
3. Townfolk impregnated
4. Other townfolk caught in middle of massive battles
5. Military steps in, more carnage ensues
6. Commander cuts losses, orders nuclear strike

That’s actually my perception too, but not for the reasons you suggest. My problem is the gore, and more importantly that it has replaced important elements of story. I’m not against gore, but it can’t be the whole thing.

Because there is a difference between good action romps, and bad ones. AvP was a bad one.

I assume you mean they "kept true" when they weren't changing the stablished mytholgies alltogether.

Predators now hunt in acrtic enviorns, instead of extreme heat.... And it only takes 15 minutes for the facehugger-chestburter-full grown alien progression, instead of at least a day....

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

This is definitely what AVP should have been in the first movie!

Can't wait to see it.
