The year is drawing to a close. WE gather here because we have a common interest, as browncoats. So we know that some of our tastes run along similar lines.

Not only SciFi, but you may sub-group if you wish.
Let's hear which films you think were the greatest, or most compelling, or just most wonderful of this year.

I'll add more because i can't think of as many right now.

1. Collector's Edition of Serenity.
2. Wish I've seen Done The Impossible, so I could rank it here.
3. 300
4. The Last Mimzy.
5. Hot Fuzz. Hilarious.
6. Transformers
7. Awake (don't read the poster, it's a spoiler for most of the film)
8. The Last Legion.
9. Bridge to Terabithia.
10. Mr Brooks.
11. Grindhouse. Rodriquez/Tarentino.
12. No Country for Old Men. Coen Bros.
13. Bourne Ultimatum.
14. Die Hard 4.

After 2 days, top vote getters are:
1. 300,
Bourne Ultimatum.
3. Bridge to Terabithia,
Transformers,
Hot Fuzz
Death Proof/Grindhouse,
Live Free or Die Hard,
Harry Potter ATOOTP
Made for TV Razor.

I saw Pan’s Labyrinth in 2007, but it’s actually a 2006 film, so I won’t include it, but it would probably be at or near the top.

Best of 2007

1. Bridge to Terabithia
Although it might seem like Saturday afternoon children’s special, it is actually one of the best coming of age movies I’ve seen. It’s focus on death feels so real that you come away from it feeling as if you’ve lost someone special. It won’t known for it’s special effects and it story is not complex, but it proves that some of the best movies are those that stick to simple concepts.

2. 300
3. The Golden Compass
4. Ratatouille
5. ? (2007 isn’t over yet)

Some movies from 2007 that I haven’t seen which are likely to screw this list: Stardust and I am Legend.

Nihil est incertius vulgo, nihil obscurius voluntate hominum, nihil fallacius ratione tota comitiorum.

Nothing is more unpredictable than the mob, nothing more obscure than public opinion, nothing more deceptive than the whole political system.
