Just saw the first episode of 'Bionic Woman', and there was Badger, playing an imprisoned and possibly evil genius!

Of course, I spent most of the episode counting 'influences' - aside from the original premise, there was a good helping of 'Alias', nods to 'Robocop', 'Matrix' and 'Universal Soldier', a nice 'Buffy' vibe and more than a hint of River in the predicament.

JONGSSTRAW

Mark Sheppard was at MegaCon in Orlando last weekend. This con was attended by no less than 3.2 billion people by my count....a total zoo. Most of the folks were there for the anime stuff & costumes, not for things like Firefly, etc.....so Mark ( and the other guests) were quite available to anyone who wanted to walk up and chat. Having just met Nathan a month before at FX Con, the wife and I were very excited about meeting Mark Sheppard. There he was, with his hair short and a little messy...with a one day beard, looking as cool as anyone can be. He greeted us with a huge smile, and then we started talking...talked about the scene with River from Shindig ( how Summer asked him out to lunch to rehearse it), talked about the "let me see your teeth line" from the pilot, talked about Battlestar. I got the feeling he wanted to talk about Battlestar more than Firefly, but he was extremely warm and gracious. He introduced us also to his dad, William Morgan Sheppard who was in the neighboring booth. It seemed like we were with him forever.
