So...Ed Norton instead of Eric Bana as Bruce Banner ?

Thoughts ?

Eric Bana was great in the role, but Ed's a great actor as well, and has a more 'everyman' appearance that will work well.

Ed might be TOO good for the role, but I'll give the movie a chance.

But from the trailers, doesn't is seem that HULK and IronMan are nearly identical story lines ? You have the protagonist, Hulk and IronMan, facing down their evil , Gov't sponsored antagonist, who wants to take all that's good from our hero and use it for their own ill designs ?

Again, that's just what I got from the trailers. Actual stories may differ.

Yeah...governments are inherently evil, in the end.

Aren't they?

Movie does look great. Edward Norton is a great choice. Has anyone else noticed that Robert Downey Jr. is credited as Tony Stark in the movie? He obviously has a cameo. I've heard alot of talk of the films having some crossover plot points as well. I think this is a great new step in Comic Book to live-action film adaptations.

Also I loved the little snippet of the TV series theme when they displayed the title at the end of the trailer. That more than anything got me interested in seeing this movie... I should note that I was a big fan of the series as a kid. I've probably seen every episode. Though not for a long while now.

Either way it goes I'll still be likely to see this movie in the theaters. Though I doubt on opening day.

Me too...and I LOVED that they kept the major part of the TV theme in the first movie- I'll totally lose it if they used the actual full theme in this new one...

Yeah. Even today it evokes a sense of nostalgia and good feelings when I hear it. I remember sitting on the living room floor watching Bill Bixby try to not get pissed. I'm glad they found an actor who is similar to Bixby if only in a few aspects.

I had already known that Bixby was sick, and when they did that last TV movie where the Hulk fell from that plane and died on the smashed runway, I cried like a little baby, and I knew it was the last one they'd make...so yeah, a LOT of emotion tied up in the character for me too.

Though I'm in the minority, I rather enjoyed Lee's Hulk (though the ending was a bit of a mess).

The first trailer for this one didn't do much for me, but this trailer kicks much ass. Really looking forward to it.

Yep. Part of Marvel's attempt to create more of a shared universe in their films (Iron Man and Hulk being the first 2 actually made by Marvel).

Downey's cameo (which was shown at the NY Comic Con last month) is breif, and ammounts to

General Ross meeting with him in a bar to ask for help with the Hulk, but Stark declines.

I don't believe there is any tie in Iron Man to the Hulk, but there is the Nick Fury cameo (after the credits).

I guess were there in the same minority Story, I own it. Elfman's music was particularly nice...

Heh... I noticed that little snippet of the music at the end. Recently ripped of by James Blunt for his song "Your Beautiful".

What I want to know, is that warning line uttered at any point? You know the one...
