LWAVES

Okay I'm in.
Just ran through the first four episodes back to back. Loving it so far. Glad they dumped the Oirish accent and explained it as well.
A nice dry sense of humour throughout. Bruce C. Some action but not too much. Mr Campbell. Miami. BC. MacGyver-ness. Oh and Bruce Campbell as well.

Curiously, my wife seems to dislike Donovan- she says there's nothing about his character she likes.

I can see what Mrs Isall is referring to - on the surface. Michael tries to be emotionless, he has a very monotone voice (to compare see the scenes when he talks with Sam) and he himself said in the pilot that he doesn't want to get too involved. Bearing in mind that as far as he's concerned his world has collapsed and that world was one where emotion will get you killed.
But dig a little deeper and there is a man who cares, who likes to be thanked and will ultimately fight for the underdog.
I can see as the series progresses, or maybe second season, that he will lighten up a little.
But for now he is a great character, the voice overs work and it is a good all round cast.
Except for Bruce. Bruce is King. No contest.

Looking forward to the rest.
Definitely a good purchase so thanks to all for persuading me to buy it.

Just finished the series. I'm very happy with it. And I must see the next season.

I love Michael, he's awesome. He actually reminds me of Mal...doing good work, doesn't care much what it is, but sometimes has to do some un-kosher things. And he's got a good heart, despite being a bit hard sometimes.

I'm a huge fan of spy characters. This show filled my void of Alias, so I loved it. *Can't* wait for the new season.

The USA Network is fabulous. Monk, Psych, Burn Notice. All great shows in their own way.

I think it's superior to Alias, at least so far. Don't you, Faith?

My name is Chrisisall, and I used to be a spy....

I think both are great in their own way. Alias was definitely more nail-biting with the drama and twists, and Burn Notice is lighter, more entertaining fair. But if I take into account the shows overall, Burn Notice barely is better, mostly because Alias' seasons after the 2nd one were more disappointing (especially after the sister arrived). I stopped watching it after Vaughn "died." Burn Notice rarely disappointed me, if at all, but that's because their formula is less complicated so it's hard to screw it up.

I was definitely more invested in Alias though. I cared about the characters more and I loved to hate a lot of them (Sark...I will forever hate you! Even on Heroes I knew I'd hate him, lol). With depth and great moments though, Alias wins. I mean, the second season was awesome! And c'mon...Sydney's dad would probably slit Michael's throat in a second, 'cuz he's that badass

Chrisisall:

Glad you liked it. Sorry you went through it so fast, and now have no more to watch. Get that cable hooked up soon - S2 starts around July 12, I believe.

I expected to NOT like Burn Notice, or at best, to think it was "okay". I was pleasantly surprised, and it became one of the most-anticipated shows at our house last summer, and we're already getting antsy about this season.

So you got Burned, but in a GOOD way. Glad to hear it.
