EVERY time I watch it, I love it more, seriously, it's one of the best martial arts flick to come along in a decade!!! Jet & Jackie are amazing, and the 'Eastern-Wizard-of-Oz' sort of story is kind of enchanting. You peeps must see it if you haven't already!

This one seems to have slipped me by, didn't even see your thread till now. I think I'll have to give it a go. Sounds interesting.
Not gonna look at reviews so as not to be spoiled but are we talking comedy, serious or what?

Awaiting your answerisall.

It's mostly like a family film with little spots of violence that make it unsuitable for the under 10 crowd, it's loosely based on a Chinese legend, with lots of Western-friendly references...like most of Jackie's films, lightweight story supported by excellent fight scenes and a good sense of humour. Peeps looking for blood will be disappointed- this is popcorn time, and I've seen it six time since I bought it.
It's (somewhat) similar in tone to Drunken Master 2, but way more fantasy-based.

It also has Jet Li, apparently having the most fun he's ever had onscreen.

I just saw him in Mummy 3- what a gorram waste of film, and Jet was all sourpuss-y in it...ughhhh, avoid that movie like the plague (although my son liked it 'cause of all the cool FX).

just bought it for my son-in-law. Apparrently , It's his favorite movie. Never heard of it myself, I don't do action-adventure-kung fu flicks, but I'll have to watch it with him.

It's really fantasy, not strictly action-adventure. But 'favourits movie'?? Must be because of the outstanding choreography. Your son-in-law must be a martial artist, no?

You have impeccable taste in martial arts movies so I'll pick it up. Next week, when I have money again.

Jackie Chan can do no wrong in my book(except for Rush Hour 3).
Jet Li is always welcome(even Kiss of the Dragon).

*gulp* Usually...some peeps have trashed this flick due to the family-friendly nature...let me know what ya think.

While not his finest hour, I still liked it enough to buy it, although I admit, I don't watch it very often...I liked 2 better. Jackie did wrong with Robin-B-Hood, IMO, I can't stand that one.

Oh! An Jet Li's Tai Chi Master has just been re-mastered- you can get it anywhere now! Fist Of Legend as well!

Chrisisall, I'm sure I'll dig it. I have no problems with a "family" martial Arts movie.

I have Fist of Legend on VHS. About time I upgrade.

Got Tai Chi Master? It's my favourite Jet Li movie, an old school period piece directed by Yuen Woo Ping!

Cheers matey.
Blood can be good, but it don't make a great film. Sometimes you gotta go the way of the lesser violence.
Sounds like I'm gonna get me this one.

Have a great Xmas/Yule or whatever.
