ZEEK

Wow I'm surprised by the V news. That series has been dropping like a rock in the ratings. The article I saw said they dropped Flashforward cause it's viewership had hit the mid-4 millions. Looks like V was at 5.5 this week and that's with a lead in from Lost. That's pretty terrible.

Seems almost like they're getting the Dollhouse treatment. "Here's 13 episodes, finish it up cause unless your ratings double in the first 3 episodes you're done." type of thing

Who knows though. They already surprised me by renewing the show. Maybe they really believe in it.

Could care less about V, but awesome news on the Chuckness!

Yes, I did kinda squee. If the idea of a 6'8", 260-pound mammal squeeing bothers you, avert your eyes. ;)

Oh, and then there was this little nugget nearly buried in the Chuck renewal coverage:

Quote:

Elsewhere in pick-up news, the Live Feed is reporting that three pilots are likely to make it onto NBC's lineup: 'Kindreds,' from Emmy winner David E. Kelley, 'Garza,' starring Jimmy Smits, and 'The Cape,' about a former cop (David Lyons) who, after getting framed, becomes a superhero to clear his name. 'Terminator''s Summer Glau co-stars as a blogger out for justice.

More squee to follow...

Hmm. Big squee.
I uttered a little, faint, almost imperceptible yet totally masculine squee.

GO CHUCK!!!!

Beautiful, I get to see where V is going!!!

Not that I don't know in general (I watched an earlier series when I was a kid). But, specifically with this one.

I could get into the differences between Dollhouse and V and why V deserves more eps and DH really *really* didn't. But, why tempt a DH v.s. V flame war and spoil the good news?

Very good news!

I'm glad for both.
I like new V but not in a way that I have to watch it straight away. It normally gets pushed back until I've watched other things.

I have to really catch with Chuck as I only got through season 1 earlier this year but I liked it a lot so it's good that they'll be even more to catch up with.

And as for The Cape - well more Summer is always good in my opinion. Does this mean that that Rabbit show with her in is going nowhere?

Chris, there's no such thing as a masculine squee. When you squee, you lose "Man Points". But at some point, I just don't care. Some things make me squee. Chuck is one of them. Can't explain it.

Although I'll undoubtedly lose more "Man Points" for admitting that it is actually starting to bug me a little bit how often they find contrived excuses to put Sarah into as little "clothing" as possible. Seriously. I mean, Yvonne Strahovsky is gorgeous, no doubt about it, but it feels a little creepy/pervy the way they just have to get her nearly naked every single episode. It's become trite.

Oh, I know - I'm just saying it's getting a little old. It's like they're trying too hard to figure out ways to put her in next to nothing all the time, and it feels forced.

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Great news on both shows!
