So, a simple enough question. Which trailers, or teasers, made you get excited for a movie. Doesn't matter how the movie turned out we are talking just about the trailer.

LOTR: Fellowship Of The Ring
As a big fan of the books and Middle Earth in genereal the trailers for all three films really got me going. But it was the first one that finalised the idea that this was really going to happen, that it was going to look fantastic and had so much potential. I don't think I've ever been more eager to see a film.

Godzilla
The first teaser I saw was the one where the kids are following the guide around the museum. His voice is droning on as they get to the dinosaur skeleton and he says something like it's the largest creature known to man. Then the huge foot crashes through the skylight and crushes the display. Brilliant stuff, pity the film didn't live up to it.

Iron Man
I basiclly knew nothing about the character before the movie appeared. I had a vague interest because it was Downey Jr in the role but I had it in my head that it was just another superhero movie. How wrong I was and by te time I'd seen the trailer it had completely won me over to the character and the movie.

Other trailers:

Hot Fuzz
28 Days Later
Batman Begins + The Dark Knight

I'm sure I'll think of more later....

I had that feeling with the Aliens trailer

I remember seeing the trailer for empire strikes back at the movies and was more than a "must see" feeling. I can hear the music to this day. And back then you had no idea when a movie was coming out 'till you saw a trailer. Today with the websites, entertainment mags, etc... I think that the excitement that a trailer once had is diminished a bit.

Keep the Shiny side up

Madame and I agree we have to go see "Red" with Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich. Oh, and Mary-Lousie Parker.
