Likes to mess with stuffs.

The trailer reminds me of the DC animated movie, 'Green Lantern: First Flight' from last year.

Hmmm I can't decide. I like the look of it and I'm sure I'll go see it. My problem is with Reynolds. He's all over the place in that trailer. One second he's super serious and reflective. Then next we see the "I know right?" scene and he seems like a silly teenager. Hopefully the trailer was just edited poorly.

I'm also hoping that there's plenty of action in the actual movie. I'm going to assume they're hard at work on the CGI and there wasn't a lot to show off. The one fist that he created looked fine but I want to see him using his powers a lot in the movie. Not just one or two action sequences.

I guess my interest decreased a bit seeing the trailer, but it's still pretty high on my list. So, I'm still planning to see it.

I truly hope the movie is better than this trailer. The tone seems very off, and the performances seem questionable...

And I, for one, think it was kinda stupid do do an all-CG costume.

I kinda get the CG costume. I mean a lot of the green lanterns aren't human shaped. So, if you want it to look consistent between them then it's probably easier to CGI all the costumes rather than just a few. Plus I like it way more than trying to make it fit in the real world someone. Like a stupid leather jacket or something all X-men style. It's a super hero movie. If the audience can't deal with the costumes then forget them.

Hal Jordan's mannerisms seem kind of like Tony Stark. Other than that...WOW! I can't wait for this.

The costume is also a ring construct, of course (which is how it can automatically fit anyone/thing who puts on the ring), so it makes sense that it wouldn't look like terrestrial fabric.

And before becoming a full-time Lantern, Hal Jordan was a test pilot --he did have a personality and a sense of humour (once, before something crawled up his butt and died). (Though I'll agree that Ryan Reynolds isn't the guy I would've picked for the role. Is that old fan-trailer featuring Nathan still around?)

I'm just intrigued that the villain looks to be Blockbuster instead of Sinestro.

I don't mind there being a costume. I'd just like it to not look like ass.

These are all early work. They still have about half-a-year to tweak the VFX.

I keep hearing this excuse from folks, and it's bunk as far as I'm concerned. One, they've had months to work on it - no, not enough time to finish all the shots - but it sure as hell is enough time to lock in those that are in the trailer. Secondly - putting out unfinished/crappy FX is what started the bad buzz on the first Hulk movie - they should have known better than to make the same mistake. Even if they polish them up, they still went out and made a weak first impression.

Of the three trailers released today (this, Cowboys & Aliens and Your Highness), this was the weakest. Took it from being the film I was most interested in (of the three) to least.

I hope they try to make it different to 'Green Lantern: First Flight', the feature film with actors should be able to be its own movie rather than a copy of the animated.
Kinda sad not to hear of Lantern Stewart or even our great Fillion in the movie
