"So, how much do I owe you?"
"One day I will come to you, and I will ask you for a favor. And whatever it is, you must do it."

My favorite Stephen J. Cannell series, and it will soon be mine!!

Well, it had actually been released on DVD about 3 years ago, but only in Canada.

It cost CA$29.95, and the cover art looked a bit... off.

Mill Creek is finally coming out with a set for the U.S. priced at $14.98, and the cover art has been vastly improved! (Well, except for misspelling "Unknown"! )

Only just barely recall the show.

But Unkown is kinda hilarious.

"I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."

So, I dashed off an email to the guy at TVShowsOnDVD.com, to remind the folks at Mill Creek that there are three N's in "Unknown", and got a quick reply...

Ah, that's well spotted, Chris. I can't imagine how I missed it! I'm blind-cc:ing my contacts at Mill Creek with this reply, so they can get it fixed up. Thanks,

I loved that show, in fact I stole half my original M.O. from StingRay and Enders Game.

Yeah, sure, 80's TV was kinda cheesy, but damn that was some tasty cheese, wasn't it ?

That's an affirmative.
That decade NEEDED cheese. It's what got us through.

Stingray - CORRECTED Front Package Art Now for Mill Creek's 'Complete Series'
A typo-free box will be released in the USA on January 18th

Posted by David Lambert 12/09/2010

A week ago we posted the package art for Mill Creek Entertainment's low-cost USA-only release of Stingray - The Complete Series on DVD (VEI had previously released this Stephen J. Cannell series for Canada). At the time, several of our readers helpfully pointed out the "how could we miss it?"-level typo that was repeated TWICE in the bottom-right corner of the front cover: the word "UNKNOWN" left out the "N" after the letter "K" (to say "Unkown"). Wow, I think we were as embarrassed as Mill Creek was for looking right past that. But the studio has quickly fixed it up, and the other day they delivered a revised picture of the box front with the correct spelling. We wanted to pass it along to our readers real quick, with a thank you from Mill Creek (and ourselves!) for everyone who pointed it out. Look for this on January 18th:

Yes, I feel such a sense of accomplishment now!
See, that's the power of the Internet right there.
