Well, after a month of working on that old '78 Revell model, I finally finished. 2hrs. a night most nights. Progress was slow. It was like watching paint dry.
Actually- it WAS a lot of watching paint dry, come to think of it.

A Serenity from scratch isn't too far off my charts now.

Niiiice, seriously, that's pretty awesome.

Oh, and you might like to know, this past week, based on your suggestion I picked up IL-2 Sturmovik for PS3 (having recently obtained a CECHA01 unit) and since it was handy at the time, the PS2 version of Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe.

So, like, if you notice it raining Me-109/110 parts anytime soon, well..

That'd be my fault.

Very nice indeedy.

The time spent is irrelevant if the finished product is worth it. It is worth it isn't it?

If Serenity is next/soon would there perchance be a Falcon further down the production line? I haven't seen you mention that one yet.

Well, I already have one, accurately painted to perfection just a few months ago:

It's just that in my various moves, the dish busted off & got lost. I'll certainly get to fixing up a new one sooner or later.
And, I guess I'll end up detailing more grime in various out-of-the-way spots.

Hehe, heh, look what it started out as from my 1978 construction/paint job:

It's not a great picture, but notice how flat & simple it all is compared to my finished product?

Like the sculptor was told halfway through to just finish the gorram thing to rush it out before the series started (which is actually my theory on this). Not even a separation 'twixt the center connecting struts (that was a hard one, I'll tell ya!).

Awesome!

You my friend, need a room for your models.
Just a small room where you can put up shelving or proper display stands for your awesomy models. It would be worthwhile I think.

No kidding; at last count I had close to 40 of 'em.

But these are my absolute favourites:

These were so much work, yet mostly turned out very well. The Viper was actually the easiest 'cause the kit itself was so accurate already- it was just a tedious paint job. Obviously, the Galactica was the most sheer work I've ever had to put into a model...

I've seen that pic so many times but it still makes me laugh hard. Thanks for the reminder.

That's what Lando said too, I don't think Han bought it anymore than I do.
