SYFY have a new series coming out:

It's called The Mercury Men.

Great retro styling.

Looks like a cool premise, though it looks like it could turn down a bad path very quickly. Lets hope for something good though.

I hadn't seen that. Very cool. "She can shish-kebab your heart." That's a funny line

I'm wondering if regular TV audiences will respond favourably to the Black and White. I hope so. I love the look.

That is one of the major questions. Personally I would love something that is in black and white. With new ways to make images sharper and better I wounder if people will be able to adjust in the first place. Though being online will probably boost it.

Ya, there needs to be a little less sequals. It is not bad but it kinda gets tiresome when every movie ends up being a trilogy. It is nice to have some new ideas out there.

Actually I tend to agree. I used to love sequels but I must admit they're being a little overplayed at the moment.

It is the same thing with video games as well. I love the Halo franchise but if you count the games without Master Chief and the upcomming games that is 8 games right there, The industries neeed new blood becuase they are running out of ideas. Soon there will probably be a shift were things will change.(Hopefully)

Is there a name for this kinda stuff that I don't know, like "steampunk" has been hitting the ren faires?

...only "Retro space ranger" would be an awesome one...everybody walking around saying "klatuu barada nikto"...I think my mom would get in on that one.

I think it would just be Sci-Fi. The old type but still the same.

I think it probably falls into a sort of Retro Future. Like this site:

TRAVELER

Mimics the serials that started during the era of silent films right into the early days of TV. My favorite being "flash Gordon" staring Buster Crabbe. TV had "King of the Rocketmen" and "Zombies from the Stratosphere". How can you go wrong with the words zombies and stratosphere in the same title.

Flash was my favourite too. Absolutely love the art direction in those things.
