the movie is not the Series. Only the facts have been changed, to irritate the innocent; the names of the actors and characters remain the same

(@least, in the USofA) 20 episodes, complete in one season

] (make sure you start with ep #1; mine defaults to ep #9)

(Elsewhere), you can also find links to it on http://www.tvmuse.eu/tv-shows/Charlie-Jade_160/, but be careful of junk

Watched it with a friend of mine, who wasn't captivated as immediately as I. Perhaps I'm easier to please, though nobody has accused me so, but I think it has more to do with some personal factors. First, Charlie Jade drives an old Aston Martin, just like one I used to own (except, as implied by the word "drives", his is running). Second, I can often recognize where a show is shot (eg I recognized Toronto from the opening shot of Orphan Black), but this one mystified me 'til they told me outright (whereupon I realized they had implied it [as in @almost the beatovertheheadwithbuildingmaterials level] from the beginning). Third, they use the word "Verse" (without the [']doohickey). I gave the show 5 stars outa 5, & recommend y'all stick with it for @least two or three eps

Looks interesting...but does the show end on a cliffhanger?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I watched it when it ran on the Sci-Fi Channel, then again when I had Hulu Plus. It is not "complete" in one season, it just didn't get renewed, but it also doesn't end on a frustrating cliffhanger...well, at least not too frustrating. I'd like to see a Kickstarter campaign to get a movie to resolve it. I wouldn't rate it quite as high as YT, maybe 3-1/2 to 4 out of five, but it's still good, especially if you like noir-ish detective tales and like to think about what you're watching instead of having everything spoon-fed to you.

That's fair. The show creators obviously hoped for more seasons, but it works as well as "Ultraviolet" (also launched as an open-ended series, but wrapping up their original story arc in 6 eps). For that matter, I watched all of season 1 of Dexter, enjoyed it, but never felt the need to watch more, as they wrapped their original story arc completely in that season

Just had a niggle of another excellent show so complete it might have been intended as a miniseries; if so, it's the longest one I've ever heard of (about 20 eps). Can't recall the name (or story [actors {released this millennium (I'm pretty sure)}])
