I'm just hoping they bring back Utopia.

I almost didn't continue watching it after an event in the first few episodes, but my old man said he knew exactly what part I was talking about and he almost stopped watching it too but was glad he stuck with it.

I'm actually shocked that they released it right now. The current events in the world are the reason people speculate that it won't be returning.

I've only recently become aware that it was a remake of a UK television show. I'm going to have to watch that one as well and compare.

So the 2021 to 2022 -ish tv Timetable? New tv schedule means we have to film in Aus or Taiwan or New Zealand or S.Korea or some place... ??? Or maybe its all a blessing in disguise
Walking Dead might finally end? Brooklyn Nine-Nine, American Horror paused, Supernatural American TV series finally ends after FIFTEEN SEASONS? Another bla bla Fast & Furious movie is delayed or shut, another Shazam 2 gone for another year, another Marvel Disney thing The Eternals is delayed, Grey's Anatomy got the flu, Russian Doll is broken.

Batwoman gets three seasons and Firefly only got one.

That's the world we're living in.

I don't agree with these choices btw, I tried Castle Rock it was painfully bad writing tried Sweet Tooth and thought it was terrible not meaningful no real heart, 'RuPaul's Drag seems to be mindless perverted crap, wouldn't be shocked to hear if one of the homosexuals get arrested in the near future for weird pedo shit. Walking Dead is just one of those Boring Zombie supernatural horror survival shows that went on way too long and wont die.

There is this theory out there that Hollywood Using Radical Feminist ideas, Diversity etc To Justify Potentially Doomed Shows and Justify pumping money into Dead Franchises?

I've watched some stuff but very few shows are keeping my attention, If I see too many pro-jihad messages or degeneracy or open0-borders propaganda it only puts me off the show.
they even did an illegal Immigrant ‘Party of Five’ Reboot?
Que?
Party of Five es una neuva remake serie de la televisión de drama estadounidense basada en la serie homónima emitida en FOX desde 1994 al 2000 et ¿Por qué Estados Unidos ha cerrado fronteras?
I typically do not finish shows, some people can watch all episodes of JJ Abrams Lost or Supernatural or some StarWars StarTrek thing but a lot of these shows rarely keep my attention for long, I guess thats why I like Firefly cut down in its prime, I notice a little less superhero stuff now at one time it looked like all tv shows were going to have Superman-ish Spider-Man type characters

I did finish Mandalorian, very George Lucas like and it was enjoyable. some fo the Asian shows I liked I guess what is refreshing is they aren't always injecting this Woke SJW [politics into their shows, they are not interested in the whole political lecturing and Cultural Marxism, they will make a Korean or Thai or Japanese show and they won't apologize for being who they are, in a weird way this normality and honesty to entertianment and media is kind of refreshing.

Here's what people are talking about 2020 and 2021, 'Raised By Wolves' is praised as the best on the ranker website, I'm not sure I agree, I dont think its the best but it kinda draws you in I guess there is something to this story in a galactic spanning post apocalypse tale. I tried Upload and Picard but couldn't really get into them, Picard seemed the better show. if I were to chose I might return to watching Picard. I think Picard is going back to the classic Star Trek type story telling and away from the big gimmicks of explosions you seen in the J. J. Abrams movies I will probably return to watching this series.

s-2020-best-sci-fi-or-fantasy-actor-winner-is

Mandalorian for me was one fo the best most enoyable escapist shows

It didn't take itself too serious like other starWars or other scifi, the Baby Yoda mission this little green guy constantly grabbing stuff and doing random things was fun and entertaining in its own way.

I watched the Belgian series 'Into The Night' all of it ... I guess its a bit like Falling Skies or 24 or JJ Abrams Lost or a Containment thriller emergency type show but you will have to read subtitled English over the French language. Supernatural has been getting awards but this Horror Fantasy Thriller is finally coming to an end, for me it has too long a story, its on tv forever, it is too much werid drama and far too many seasons upon season for me to watch
The Mandalorian is liked by its fans, very StarWars setting I liked it as a fun thrilling escapist ride, it is a short and enjoyable watch.
Utopia is well liked I might finish it return to watching it, a comic book story predicting a virus apoclaypse, I guess it draws you in like like Picard, there was some hype about Tidelands an Australian TV-series about fantasy horror Mermaids, the Japanese show Alice in Borderlands is strange version of Tokyo where they must compete in dangerous horror murder games to survive ...I watched a few eps maybe its a bit like Battle Royale or Hunger Games but it does not keep my attention, I thought Deathnote or the Ringu were better horror thrillers, there is a Swedish show 'Tales from the Loop', the German series Dark is good, Spides is anotehr German show about strange occurrences begin piling up in connection with the appearance of a new club drug called Blis but I don'ty think I will finish this show. I think some Asian shwos are ok and the S.Korean zombie period piece Kingdom and Alien worlds is liked so is a speculative science-ish documentary David Attenborough-esque documentary, set in space...Alien Worlds
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance has that Farscape and Muppets Jim Henson feel to it, its based on the cult Movie.
The Boys is ok but may a bit too degenerate, violent and too much toilet humor for me, I like a series to explore ideas a little more and not just to be shocking for the sake of shock and nudity and gore, I've nothing against nudity or violence if it fits the story and is needed but once you take away the series shocking scenes in 'The Boys' I find its kinda shallow as a show. What We Do in the Shadows seems a bit dumb, its the same director from one of the Thor movies but the mockumentary is a bit to dumb for my tastes, maybe if you enjoyed getting drunk or stoned and turning off your brain and watching Rick and Morty type stuff, I coulnt get past a few episodes.

I might watch Picard...the superhero thing is still big on tv with Stargirl, Loki, Doom Patrol, Jupiter's Legacy, I might try The Rookie...or maybe just watch Firefly and Farscape again? One of the Stargate spin off might be worth a rewatch?
A foreign tv show like the German 'Dark' La casa de papel aka Money Heist or 'Ragnarok', I'm still interested in the South Korean stuff.
maybe a cartoon animation like Carmen Sandiego, the Japanese Attack on Titan, the 'Love, Death & Robots ' CGI animation series is interesting.

Over all a poor collection these past years for tv but Hollywood did an even worse job in the cinematic box office wasteland

Stargirl was actually pretty good. I wouldn't have watched it if it weren't for Luke Wilson, and honestly I thought it was quite novel to have a beautiful, physically fit white girl in the lead of a show that managed to check the agenda at the door. I didn't even know that all was possible in 2020 anymore.

Let me know how disappointing Picard was if you watch it.

I've tried some shows but for now I'm watching 'Squid Games' I think Netflix, very interesting at times, I'm not sure if its trash television or an interesting commentary on the rat race in life.
The great thing about it is the pace, the subtle music, the acting and how the story is allowed unfold.

It's maybe like if you mixed American Wipeout the Japanese gameshow Takeshi's Castle and mix it with a Horror movie, I don't know how to describe it. While it sounds a bit crazy it is an 'Emotional Series' with Drama with good writing good dialogue and plot in its own way, it is neww and getting massively hyped by people watching it now, an overnight sensation, and maybe rightfully so.
I'm not sure if the real bad guy is the cartoonish style masked villian or maybe its just a commentary on life itself in Asia.
Theer is a similar show in Japan called 'Alice in Borderland' but I Do Not recommend it, while the Japanese show has a similar plot and I think is based on some video game thing or Japanese horror suspense comicbook manga series I just found the Japan show very empty, nihilistic maybe and just gore or tension for the sake of gore and tension so, there was something stupid about it so I stopped watch the Japan show. This one from South Korea it keeps you glued in and guessing, while it might be inspired by other ideas this S.Korean is a new very interesting take on the idea Gameshow Horror Survivor idea.

The S.Korea film and tv always impressed me, a smaller population compared to the United States of America and they do have their own powerful film culture, their movies do good in cinema their DVD's for tv drama sell even while they are next to 2 powerhouse giant economies and cultures of China and Japan, the S.Korea tv is strong it stands on its own and film is great.

This show SQUID GAMES
I guess it keeps you going because its like a mystery who-did-it? or maybe its just a trainwreck you can not turn away from? All kinds want to join the game, some have their own issues, some are cold, some are helpful, some are evil, there are gangsters, math teachers, some are manual labor workers, married couples, some are failed gambling investors, people from all walks of South Korean life.

Imagine you mixed a Survivor American TV series island plot about a game show...sounds silly...then you mixed it with a Scifi Horror murder game and then put the show some weird place in Asia with South Korean culture and that's what the series is ...but a Survival Horror Game Show but its not scifi...not really

The main person is called 'Seong Gi-Hun'

He's a gambler, his life is a mess and he has total gamgling addiction, Problem gambling he stupidly signs up games constly and signs to something and gets take to the special 'Death Game'

I'm not sure if this has a 'trashy' side to it, if is B-movie level trash tv, I'm not sure if it has any art message or meaning behind maybe it is trash rubbish but the actors are cool and the show? but it is entertaining in its own way,its South Korean style, passionate acting, well shot camerawork, great pace. I guess it does have social commentary, Squid Game’s backdrop is South Korea’s present-day, the difficulty of life, wealth inequality and the addictions of the mind, how some people hit the bottom.

I think its on Neflix but I'm sure it could possibly be found somehwre...some shows are around places dailmotion, youtube, a vimeo channel, you can find a show if you know the right place to look.
The dubbed version is ok, the dubbing for the main actor is good but I'm swicthing over to Korean every once in a while for episodes, I guess I don't mind the subs and enjoy the sound of the Korean language, I would happily watch either dubbed or subtitled. The writing and the speed are great, the cliffhangers give the series movement and interest and appeal the shows cast do very well with different actors playing off each other.

What is SQUID GAMES like?
Some online say its a mix of Battle Royale, Death Race 2000, the old Jean Claude Van Damme Hard Target the Cult British show Prisoner, maybe Darwin's Game, 10eok aka 'A Million', Running Man, the Japan anime toon Kaiji, Maze Runner perhaps, the Brazilian 3% or Liar Game, that weird 'Gantz' cartoon, maybe one of those old Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episodes or Hunger Games with a splash of Parasite....but it is unique in its own way.

There isn't much 'Action' though I might have given an impression of action tv series in my description, it is more psychological murderous plot thing with a master mind manipulating peoples addiction. The show is like a dystopia horror mystery and its a scary bloody story and although the action is Asian it is not all karate and judo and kungfu and flying choreography, when there is action it has an ugly raw element to it like a street riot. It's all about survival, its all about the mystery plot, characters either betraying or helping as they do in the zombie show 'Walking Dead' and its mostly about the ongoing the horror gambler game and a mastermind manipulating them to keep playing, getting past the task.
It's a sick fly on the wall story and the gambler addiction people stupid enough to get into a scifi horror sitution and gamble their own life away.
Maybe it could be described as a 2021 South Korean survival/horror series but its not really that 'scifi' either with most of the setting in the modern world.

There is very good use of sound and melody to back up the weirdness of the show, composer Jung Jae-il adding the unique Korean music. I guess many of the characters are odd, maybe not someone you would love or even like. You will engage with them more as the story develops, their better qualities come out, some of the nicer ones become villians. They have their own issues mental addiction things, not being smart enough and dumb enough to get caught up in things or they all get sucked into this Survivor game show, or they each have their own debt or gambling problems. They these 'vulnerable' people are manipulated in the series, some playing the game are outright hotheaded criminal and cold blooded psycho thugs but they all are Pawns.
All taken by a Secret group or Cult or a group lead by an Elite spy 'mastermind' a guy up inside a tv room looking down with eyes and links across government criminal groups, he is able to send a secret team to pick them up any time in this weird tv Modern Amphitheatre death contest...its not in an Ampitheatre its more like a weird Asian scifi warehouse or series of rooms with bright colors. Backstories keeop part of the show groudned and make it clear that anyone, can fall on hard times, any person can go into debt through bad luck and go into more risky unforgiving life, with music adding rhythm, cords, melody, scary noise and emotion at the right time.

You don't see the Evil guys true face in the first ep, instead the Villain/Foe/Antagonist is just a cartoon-ish villian mask.
I guess its kinda funny or silly at times like a kids cartoon or like a GI Joe cartoon but the plot keeps the show moving and there is more than one bad guy, he the main villain has a team of guys working for him.
The 'normal' people with gambling addiction issues, they get caught up in the game when they sign away some paper while they are vulnerbale in troubled times, a person who signs on the dotted line is then taken to a unknown location and one person, the main guy, the lead protagonist finds himself among 455 other players, all with similar issues....they start getting killed off quick in the show and it becomes a physical and mental battle of survival. The players are kept under watch at all times and fianlly they play some kind of sick twisted Gladiator Deadpool game based on basic children's play ground park games that children might play growing up. The games are deadly though and murderous, players discover its not a game show or video game, a loser is killed and that losing in these games results in their death, though each death adds means less wealth is shared between groups so the final prize goes up by millions or thousands? The peoples mind and body are pushed, they are pushed to their physical – and, more pressingly, moral – limits to get a shot at survival in a better life.

It's all about these mentally sick idiots, gambling always stuck in their brains and trying to get to the grand prize. There is a sub plot with a Cop chasing down his lost brother, weird organ trafficker stuff and I guess it kind of flashes back to people's lives as they did in J J Abdrams Lost TV Series. This is an Adult show, it's not a show for kids, although it isn't too degenerate, it is very dark, gorey and dystopia, I guess its kinda sick and twisted in its own way but it does have lighter moments. The show is very well paced with each epsidoes adding mroe or ending on a good cliff hanger. Other characters of different sex and almost of all ages are also in trouble and have joined the game and decided to take part in the secret survival game with 'Seong Gi-Hun'.

and Although it is horror at times there is a very bold and raw use of bright and pure primary colors as you would see in the 1967 British cult series Prisoner, or Japanese or Chinese film like Hero is a 2002 wuxia film or a kids toon or a more Adult Cartoon like South Park or Futurama, I guess it maybe has some upbeat or lighter funny or quiet moments among all the horror.

It is horror, it is unqiue I guess but I can't say any more with spoilers and that would ruin your watch of the show

as for the silly type of J-shows that inpsire these tv series ideas
you can find them on youtube or veoh or other social media

Game Show Tousouchuu - Run For Money

Asian game shows always were a whole other level of wacky and the reason they do seem to have that whole other danger elment to them is because people really did get badly hurt, even on these real-life shows and get little in compensation.

Thanks for the update and for the honesty.

I always think that most of this stuff isn't nearly as bad as you hear it is.

I don't have much to base that off of, other than actually doing some homework by sitting down and watching Ghostbusters (2016). I fell asleep through it once, but went back and watched the whole thing.

It wasn't good by any means, but it wasn't close to as bad as I'd heard it was either. Really, it wasn't any worse than most Marvel movies that I've seen. Stupid movie for stupid audience. Meant to be completely forgotten by the time the credits roll and you're walking to your car.

But it did actually make me giggle once or twice, which was honestly quite unexpected.

SQUID GAMES was good but in one ep, something about it rubbed me the wrong way
You will watch it quick but in one episode there is subtle propaganda in it while you rush through it.

The show is good if you ignore the nonsense, one ep has a lot of typical Global socialist homo,
every Neflix show has 'The Message' somewhere
its what to expect with the typical Netflix Rioter Take a Knee stuff or Netflix Anti-America thing or degenerate 'Cuties' type propaganda hidden in many Netflix shows. Some of the villains are degenerate sadistic homosexuals. The diversity immigrant Pakistani is the kindest man - They write that he gets betrayed by the original Native South Korean population of the country.

its a great show but even a great show it seems Neflix in one episode will force 'That Series of Political Messages'

still think its a better version of Running man or the japanese show "Alice in Bordeland".

I might return to the animation LoveDeath+Robots

I didn't see the agenda stuff in the entire S.Korea series but one episode stood out as very agenda or 'woke', it stood out against the rest of the S.Korea thriller horror series or if not 'woke' or maybe multi-cultural or whatever, it just felt forced or whatever you might call it. I guess Netflix insisted its political mark was to be put into one episode on the show.

In real life its Kamala Harris, Speaker of the House of Nancy Pelosi , Patrick Leahy , Antony Blinken, Treasury Janet Yellen, Lloyd Austin, Merrick Garland, Deb Haaland , Tom Vilsack , Gina Raimondo, Marty Walsh , Xavier Becerra, Marcia Fudge , Pete Buttigieg

I only watched a few eps before I quit

The Korean show is More of a look at Korea's schools, their society, Lord of the Flies type of stuff happens, also a look at the political system in South Korea, the zombie thing is a strong element but if you're not into Horror Zombie stuff and never seen much Asian tv film then maybe its not for you

Glad you've figured that out now.

I've been saying that for at least 5 years.

You think the shows and movies are bad, you should check out the comic books at Marvel and DC. Absolutely unreadable.

It's why Manga is kicking US comics asses and why the real artists are all doing their own thing on Kickstarter and Substack and completely abandoned the places they used to call home.

I've been hearing that Prey was pretty decent. And despite it's female lead with minority status, she's not a magical Mary Sue who is perfect in every way. Those who are quick to label everything woke have come out and said that this movie isn't woke trash. Assuming she either lives to the end, or at least takes out the Predator before she died like Arnold did, I'm hoping I can avoid spoilers until I see it and find out how a girl that looks to weigh about 100 lbs soaking wet manages to pull it off without poorly written woke Plot Armor.

It's a shame they put out so many terrible Predator movies over the years that they didn't feel that the first decent one they've made since Predator II was worthy of a theatrical release. Especially right now when the new releases are so bleh and it would have had a great chance of coming in at least 2nd place this weekend. They could have probably made some decent money.

They probably should have done a dual theatrical/streaming release. Or are we done doing that now? Maybe that's a bad financial model?

She Hulk is going to be a trainwreck.

I think Predators 2010 is also a good watch

Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga, Walton Goggins, and a weird crazy guest role by Laurence Fishburne.

Could they make it a tv show?

I think as a Binge tv Reacher would be worth it, seen some on a stream video site and it was like the Lee Child book. Didn't see much on DVD I think there was a region 2 or 3 maybe Australia or Europe or Brazil/Mexico, got a new DVD player and didn't test it out to see if it was cracked for other regions

I didn't even know this was a thing. I kind of stopped paying attention to anything Predator/Aliens/Terminator related by the mid 2000's.

Really though... I've said it before and I'll say it again; It isn't Woke that ruined these franchises. Woke just put the final nails in the coffin. The wrong people have been in charge of this stuff for about 20 years now and had been driving all of them into the ground long before the woke brigade came in to kill them off.

Then you had things like Ghostbusters. Things that should have been making money and good content, but just stagnated for a long time before the woke came in to destroy them. I mean Ghostbusters II wasn't all that great either, but the cartoon was still going strong at the time and the toys were all over the place. Then it just disappears for 15 years and gets dug back up for the agenda.

There's a lot of blame to go around everywhere.

And I still say it's mostly with the consumer. If you stop paying for shit, then they'll be forced to stop producing shit.

Seems like 'The Witcher' is over even if they want to keep it alive as a franchise

'Reacher' is a tv show people can enjoy, much more physical role than Tom Cruise maybe more of the gritty tank as described in books but Tom Cruise had the Cop Investigation element done well in the movie. Maybe go to South Korea tv or other overseas, indie television 'All of Us Are Dead' etc

Scifi isn't really as big as it used to be in the 90s and early 2000s.

I tried 'The Witcher' for a while quit and have not been able to get back into it. I might try The Legend of Vox Machina another animation Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Oni Thunder God's Talea and kids show I assume Daniel Spellbound. not sure about Moonhaven, there is some overseas stuff from South Korea 'Glitch' for example, Germany, Spain Feria: The Darkest Light or Feria La luz más oscura a Spanish fantasy thriller television series and Poland 'Cracow Monsters'. I wrote about FlixPatrol which is good to see 'buzz' you find shows you might never see for example The Thaw was trending on FlixPatrol but it didn't rank high 6.8/10 imdb 50% RottenTomatoes I sometimes take reviews with a pinch of salt but many other ranked it Low-ish with poor feedback...so I decided it was not worth my time. I had mentioned the South Korea and Japan shows earlier, they say the Japanese show 'Alice in Borderland' came before the South Korean but I found it kinda empty, soulless and nihilistic, it starts with good action and tension but the Japan actors a bit weird, acting at times so over the top it made the show stupid. I would still rank 'Squid Game' as one of the more recent and 'Bingeworthy' there is so little good scifi out there and just wait until fallout from the Writers Strike and Actors Strike.

'Reacher' like I wrote of earlier, is worth a binge watch, he is not as slick as Tom Cruise but a far more physical guy for the action scenes...but then again not scifi

I might give Star Trek Strange New Worlds a try, at least they are still trying to make scifi shows.

Not sure if Bingeworthy but South Koreans have another dumb reality-ish show Zombieverse, throw in a bunch of comedian and actress, Congoid immigrants with u tube channels, ex-members of the Kpop and a baseball player, group of 'celebrities' as they try to survive a make-believe survivor ty show zombie apocalypse. .

Star Trek franchise?
There is a second ST season and looking at video reviews and online comments it does not seem to be hated like the other re-imagined Trek abominations

Flix Patrol is still one of the better 'buzz' sites it has so much info, you can see what people were watching 1 month ago in New Zeland or look around and see other top 10 and regions or what Finland watched last year

Revenant is highly rated it looks horror supernatural weird

and
Black Knight?

Reviews are coming in for the dystopian K-drama, which takes place in a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland right out of Mad Max, after a meteor annihilated 99% of the population and left the earth near-uninhabitable. Stylish couriers called ‘Black Knights’ help carry crucial resources (such as oxygen) to the pockets of humanity left, but have to ramp up their efforts when rich interests inevitably decide it’s easier to wipe out the poor than keep them alive.

Season one of Black Knight has got a promising critical response so far, with The Telegraph giving it 4/5 stars, saying it “delivers thrill, spills and chills with dead-eyed efficiency” – though also claims it's “far too cartoonish to become another phenomenon for Netflix” in the vein of Squid Game.

The Guardian gives a cooler 3/5 stars, but enjoys the absurdity of glorified and gorgeous postmen with perfect haircuts rampaging through the desert: “Black Knight treats couriers as unsung heroes, with 5-8 having to drive through a desert that teems with rogues – electrocuting them with the press of a dashboard switch if they manage to climb on his delivery truck. If he gets pulled over, he has a full repertoire of firearms, baseball bats and martial arts skills to subdue them. It’s all endearingly silly – imagine that your [delivery] driver is Tom Hardy in Mad Max: Fury Road, and you won’t be far off.”

Collider praises the action sequences as the best parts of the show, calling Black Knight a mix between George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road (grumpy but excellent driver causes havoc in the desert) and the new Apple TV show Silo (scarce resources and population control in post-apocalyptic sci-fi).

Star Trek Prodigy is ok-ish, Maybe I will try an animated cartoon, Simpsons, Recess, South Park, Avatar The Last Airbender, Samurai Jack, Justice League, Spider-Man, X-Men, Sponge Bob, they were ok and kinda Binge Worthy before all this SJW stuff.

Animation standards in the West are terible these days. Most people in the West no longer watch Western animation and seem to watch Asian toons these days, its even destorying the video game market with 'Gamergate' politics.

Castlevania might be one of the few that makes the cross between East and West animation.

There is also 'Warrior' a tv show based on an original concept and treatment by Bruce Lee, and is executive-produced by his daughter, Shannon Lee

Also maybe Dark Winds is an American psychological thriller tv series, bank robbery, FBI and it follows two Navajo police officers, based on the novel series
and coming
'A Murder at the End of the World' but I don't know if its good, filming taking place in Kearny, New Jersey, Utah, and Iceland

Streaming might collapse if they can not make entertrainment people will just watch a Nature Documentry or re-runs of old shows for free on u tube or daily motion or watch power slap on rumble and other social media sites. I think mini-series will come back like during the recession of the 70s and 1980s

People like the show Yellowstone, another series 'The Last Thing He Told Me' could be ok, the British not sure region maybe England or Wales made 'The Gallows Pole' some liek the Dead Ringers miniseries but maybe its mostly South Korean and German shows that are watchable?
