Last night I saw an episode of Elementary which I had missed before. It was the episode where Sherlock first meets Kitty.

This is now my favorite episode of that show. Script was very strong, I felt like I was watching Firefly or Due South. It also had the most annoying character of Watson blundering by placing a listening device given to her by their prime suspect and sort-of arch nemesis in Sherlock's place where his statements and discussions can be overheard. And when Sherlock points out her idiocy, she has the gall to ignore the obvious and argue with him. She should remove that corncob from her behind once in a while.

Anyway, I makes me long for a Spin-off show about the Adventures of Kitty Winters. I really want to see it.

So, what other spin-offs would you like to see from your favorite shows?

I wanted Dark Angel to continue like the first season, but can't think of any interesting spin-off possibilities. That show revolved around Jessica/Max.

I can't think of a good spin-off from Due South - following the real Ray's exploits doesn't seem all that intriguing.

Thinking about Firefly, I can't get all excited about following Badger around or hanging at the Madrassa House.
But following Monty around with a camera sounds like fun.
And, hey Christina seems to have come available now. How about the life of YoSaffBridge? A running gag could be everybody she meets knows of or about or personally Mal or some of the Serenity gang. She doesn't run into them herself, but everybody talks about them, especially since their broadwave of Miranda. This gag would annoy her, roll her eyes, every episode. Whether the others didn't like Mal, or adored him, or no matter the opinion, the mere mention has to dig at her each time. Plus, she has no shortage of thieving, killing, scamming, rich dudes, etc - maybe she eventually has a soft side, or honest side at some point.

Terminator: the Cameron Age could benefit from the Summer factor, but the character's job was to follow that John Connor guy around and protect him from himself, so that would seem to drag. Unless John & Sarah timejump and leave behind Cameron. That could be interesting, but would it be compelling?

Anybody else have a show they think a spin-off would be good for?
Or other spin-offs from Firefly/Serenity?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Anytime speculation about a Firefly spin-off comes up my suggestion is that Saffron and Badger team up for salvage operations. Hilarity ensues.

I really like your spin-off idea, I'm a fan of both, but I always got a kick, after the TRASH episode, out of Monty. I could see Saffron outsmarting both, but then making amends and/or being forced (because of her own creed and bravado)to return the ill-gotten booty.

GOOD TIMES!!!

I have difficulty seeing Badger getting repeat customers/clients/partners after habitually killing off entire crews/gangs just for the scraps of their ships.
IIRC Badger was big into the "community" concept. Respectable, even.
