America loves a winner!

Some because they never interested me, others because I just never got 'hooked' on them, and some I'd might like to watch, just don't have the time.

Legends of Tomorrow

Arrow

Walking Dead

Fear the Walking Dead

The Strain ...

( Pretty much any series which involves folks eating other folks )

Stopped watching -

Super Girl

SHIELD

... to be continued.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I only ever watched the first episode of The Walking Dead, and that was a few years ago on Netflix. Never felt the inclination to continue. Haven't watched The Strain or FtWD either.

Watched about half of Legends of Tomorrow, but stopped at the same time I stopped watching Arrow, The Flash & Supergirl, and will not be watching any of those this season.

Not sure if I will continue with SHIELD. Not thrilled that they introduced Ghost Rider, which doesn't seem to fit with the rest of their characters and scenarios.

SHIELD seems to be running reruns on another broadcast channel, looks like episodes I have missed - which would be a bunch. I might catch up on them if I can conjure the schedule.

Are you not watching Izombie?

With Agent Carter done, I'll try to catch Conviction with Hayley Atwell.

iZombie has been held for mid-season, so the only CW show I'll be watching this fall is Jane the Virgin.

Haley is the only reason I'll check out Conviction, but most of my viewing this year will be on Hulu, except for Jane and Elementary, since Hulu won't be offering any CW or CBS shows.

I guess it is in syndication now. The pilot episode will run at 5pm (Central) today on a secondary channel broadcast by the local FOX affiliate, and will also have eps on Wednesdays. Just search TVGuide, TV.com, TitanTV, or whatever other database you use for time and channel in your area.

LOVED the season ender for IZombie. Interested to see where they are going with that.

I also don't know if I wanna watch SHIELD this season. Lots of iffy plot lines, but I'll check it out every now and then.

It's not sci-fi but "Bull" seems okay. Don't know how many trials they are capable of doing or where they can go with the series, though. It's like they mashed House without the jerk, The Practice, and Lie to Me together.
Less formulaic than some.

Add Lethal Weapon and that's my whole network viewing line-up.

Holding my breath for season 3 of Sherlock though. Me and the kiddo think they are going to kill of Mycroft. Someone has to pay for Magnussen. Literally counting the days 'till X-mas for once.

Oh, and I'll check out the Gilmore Girls thing on Netflix, but more out of curiosity than desire.

Slim pickin's these days.

I thought it was okay, but everybody else seems to think it's great. It's only 8 episodes, so not a big waste of time even if you don't care for it.

Even those praising it are still acknowledging how derivative it is of a lot of 80s movies.

Wish - Stranger Things is excellent. More so if you're old enough to remember the 80's, but that's not all that key to the story itself. Aside from some very good acting , I think much of the success of S.T. was that no one really saw it coming. It was just kinda on, and folks were blown away w/ the whole story. Also, Millie Bobby Brown , the little girl from the series - Intruders , is excellent. ( If you can , go find that show too.. very creepy )

Netflix is where I'm watching most of my t.v. , it seems. Regarding Sci-fi , there's the Marvel array of shows - Jessica Jones, Daredevil and now just dropped - Luke Cage. VERY well done, all of them !!

I've also gotten into Marco Polo, if you're into that sort of historical stuff. Which I am.

As for The Flash, I'm not so caught up with this season, but haven't totally abandoned it - yet.

Big fan of i-zombie.

Looks like Time Travel is "the" thing this season.
Along with Frequency and Timeless, there's also Time After Time and the comedy Making History.

I was thinking Frequency was a bit techno - sharing a bit with White Noise, and the Forest Whittaker bit in Phenomenon. And Nathan was in White Noise 2. In theory these might have commonality with The Ring, but the vibe was waaay different.

Anybody else watch it?

I did enjoy it, but the ending (and set-up for future episodes)

seemed a bit like Quantum Leap - they might try to get back to the original timeline. Some movies have done that, like Sound of Thunder or Butterfly Effect, but they didn't have 26 installments per year.

Speaking of time travel flicks, I generally try to avoid them. Save , of course, for Dr Who. I love how they have 'fixed points 'in time, which simply cannot be altered. It avoids certain Grandfather scenarios, which almost always end poorly.

I watched Timeless on Hulu yesterday, might check out a few more eps, but it won't be live. I liked the Time After Time movie, more for the actors involved than the plot, but I'll still check the show out for at least one episode.

Most of the shows I've liked the past year or so are currently on hiatus. Those include Orphan Black, Humans, Mr. Robot, The Expanse, and 12 Monkeys. Also, Black Mirror returns to Netflix Oct 21, and they've already announced another season beyond that.

I realize this thread is about shows we're NOT watching, but no reason we can't balance that out with stuff that's worth watching. In my opinion at least.

Thanks for the balance. Black Mirror ? Not heard of that one, so now I have something new to check out.

And yeah, most of what you posted, I'm also watching, though I can't say the same for 12 Monkeys or Humans. I'll probably give Humans a look see.

Also... I just found out You, Me and the Apocalypse won't be returning !! Another 1 and done masterpiece

Odd show. More of a Twilight Zone type of format, with each episode ( so far ) being a stand alone story. Really edgy stuff, too. Right off the bat, the kidnapping and all, eghads.

I have watched the first 2 episodes. I may have missed a third.
I like it better than Timeless - but then Timeless also has a schedule conflict with another show I've watched.
They are working faithfully with the cause-effect cycle, and I have not conjured how the storyline will play out yet, the mysteries. I want more. But you must pay attention.

I tried to watch Frequency. Just can't. I dunno, it feels more personal and affective than Timeless. Timeless is a "what if" kind of fun, but I wish they would stop meeting up with Goran's character EVERY episode for no reason...(still want to call him "Luca" from ER)

Have watched all but one of the Stranger Things, and find it interesting, but I have one complaint.

THEY KILL OFF THE CHIC WITH GLASSES.

I used to BE her. Seriously. Same hairdo, same glasses, same colors, same body type. Same skinny-ass traitor "friend" that used me as a cover when she wanted to screw a guy I actually liked first.

The skinny bitch needed to die. Blowing off a fried and neglecting her for a guy??? She should have been red-shirted, not fought over and turned heroine...

Yep, still pisses me off today The good news is, in real life "skinny bitch" has her spouse leave her, he got custody of the kid, she gained 100 lbs and looks like the spitting image of her MOTHER. Karma works some days

So I'm giving it a chance now. Much of what you say is spot on. Now, my main problem is the ...well, I'll go w/ the Butterfly effect. On the one hand they openly state their intent to ' not knock over a salt shaker ' so as to not change anything down the time line , but then...COMPLETELY CHANGE HISTORY IN NOT SMALL WAYS !! Good grief! Are these folks true imbeciles ?

This asinine attitude.. " But I love her... I MUST do something, no matter what the cost ! " is really grating me , and I'm assuming it'll only get worse with more episodes.

At least Sam and Al tried to FIX things, when Sam leaped from time to time...

THIS is why I get so turned off w/ time travel shows. ( those which don't include FIXED points, or Time Lords, of course )

The beauty of time travel is that events that have been changed in the past that create paradoxes in the present can at some point be undone. "Timeless" will no doubt keep screwing around with the past, and paradoxes will keep occurring. It might all be fixed by going back and preventing the creation of the time machines. It's network tv. I have no great expectations of anything, but so far, after 4 episodes, I'm finding it entertaining.

The most recent Timeless should have created more of a difference than just an extra James Bond movie. They got Von Braun to the allies almost a year before the war was over rather than afterwards. It would make sense for there to be an infinite number of changes, but how would they know unless they reviewed all of the world's history from that point until the present? They can't do that of course, since the review would have to be done by either Lucy, Rufus, or Wyatt, and that would bring the story to a halt for an episode in between each mission.

I agree. The subject of Von Braun and his staff has always bothered me. I liked the fact that "Timeless" did not portray him as a sympathetic figure, rather as a scientific zombie. "I shoot the rockets up. I'm not responsible for where they land". Give me a break! The guy was a war criminal. His rockets killed thousands of civilians, and everything he built was on the backs of slave labor under horrific conditions. Von Braun knew all that. I don't know how people like that live with themselves. He should have been hanged with the rest of the Nazi leaders at Nuremberg.

Timeless - so, caught up now. I can say there's some clever writing , but also some ridiculous plot lines, as well as some unnecessary historical nonsense being passed off as 'fact'.

Select to view spoiler:

Claims of the deaths caused by the V-2 rocket were in the 10's of 1000's, when the actual # is listed to be just 7,250. And , I'm guessing there weren't too many ( meaning ANY ) fancy parties being thrown while V-2 rockets were being launched, just outside castles, but I could be wrong.

* Then again, since they keep on screwing up history, maybe that is the 'accurate' history now ?

Dunno if this'll make the cut for another season, but there's decent enough potential for subplots to keep things interesting.
