Nathan is the green bug wearing an FBI agent’s suit and eating McDonald’s McNuggets on Season 3 Episode 1 "The Rickshank Redemption" of Rick and Morty. Nathan is a pivotal character. Yes, he is that important to the story.

I didn't know this finally was back on!

This is one of the best TV shows out right now guys and gals. Great humor, amazing voice acting, and some of the most intelligent writing I've ever seen.

Don't let the burp and fart jokes scare you away.

Hopefully Nathan gets people here interested in the show. I'm going to watch this episode tonight!

Fans of Rick and Morty Want McDonald's to Bring Back Its Szechuan Dipping Sauce

While in character, Nathan could not stop eating McNuggets with that sauce. People have already signed a petition demanding the product's return, and social media chatter even prompted a tweet from McDonald's official Twitter account.

I actually saw that. I recognized his voice right off. Guess that comes from watching Firefly so much.

I think you'd like it if you watch a few episodes. I wouldn't recommend it to just anybody, but fans of Sci-Fi have a lot to love there.

Personally, I think it's one of the greatest cartoons ever made. I haven't caught any of the 3rd season yet except for the April Fools joke that Nathan Fillion was on. They punked everybody and made them think the 3rd season had already started when it wasn't going to start for a few more months.

You're missing the existentialism lessons, plus Rick's child and grandchildren are mass murderers, same as Grandpa Rick.

I haven't seen whatever episode would make you say that, but I'm going to have to say that they're "mass manslaughterers" at worst.

Even when Grandpa Rick does something, it's not pre-meditated. He's just about the scariest type of sociopath out there and when accidents happen on a grand scale it doesn't even phase him. It probably doesn't help that he's been to so many parallel universes and seen the same people over and over and over again that he figures they're all alive in an infinite amount of other places -1 now.

Hell... He didn't even care about what he did to his own daughter or the fact that they've been living in a completely different universe with a different family for over a season now.

I'm willing to bet that is because, unknown to us, that "original" family isn't the original family. He probably did something horrible to his original planet and lost the only person in the world he cared about and that made him the way he is today. Always drunk, always thinking about nobody but himself, always coming up with one crazy scheme or another that seems entirely pointless to us.

I know it sounds like I'm way overthinking a cartoon, but that's just it. This cartoon really makes you think... a lot.

I'm glad this seems to have such a huge following and I hope that they keep making it and we get to hear his entire story one day. I think that if we do they're not going to let us down on the storytelling and we're going to find out that he doesn't just randomly do the stuff he does just "because".

You are from an alternate universe watching the PG version of the cartoon I watch.

Remember when Beth went to Froopyland, killed her childhood friend Tommy’s children and recreated Tommy from the DNA of the finger she bit off of him? And she wasn’t disturbed at all about what she had done. Season 3 Episode 9.

Remember when Summer went to Road Warrior – Fury Road world and killed their leader and shacked up with the new leader? Even Rick said, “Getting darker” because his granddaughter is stone cold. Season 3 Episode 2.

It would have been a bloodbath if Beth and Summer had gone to McDonald's yesterday to get sauce for Rick:

McDonald's Rick and Morty Szechuan sauce stunt backfires

A McDonald's PR stunt to bring back a rare dipping sauce left thousands of fans disappointed and police called to some US restaurants on Saturday.

The Szechuan sauce, which was only made in 1998 to promote the film Mulan, has become well known after featuring in the popular cartoon Rick and Morty.

In July the chain sent a large bottle of the sauce to the show's creators.
They then announced it would come back for one day on 7 October, but fans were left disappointed after stores ran out.

In one video, police can be seen holding back people chanting "we want sauce".

Where are you getting the mass-murdering stuff ?

Maybe I'll check it out, down the road, but I have a natural aversion to fall in and follow something when everyone is talking about it. I've never seen ... The Sopranos, Oz, Entourage, Breaking Bad, The Wire, most of the better known lawyer, hospital or cop shows. I've avoided 99% of all " reality " shows, with the occasional exception of home make over / undercover boss type things. But even then, not too often.

As for R and M, the only thing which I guess intrigues me is that it gets such high praise from those I know have an interest and respect for great sci-fi and or humor. I can't cast those opinions off lightly, so who knows.

Film Critic Hulk wrote: "In terms of pure storytelling, I am proud to say that Rick & Morty does the work every time. I can think of nothing so inspiring." Hulk wrote that in review of an episode ("Pickled Rick") where Rick murdered an embassy full of foreigners, one at a time, when he should have been with his daughter and grandchildren at the family therapist. Rick has serious anger issues and a drinking problem. I agree with Hulk. It was an excellent episode!

SPOILER ALERT!!

LOL.... I haven't watched season 3 yet except for that first episode with Nathan in it.

I did like your first line about watching it in a PG universe though.

It's CRAZY what people did with that sauce. What is wrong with people today? My brother said that they were going for a huge price on ebay too.

You really are missing out on Breaking Bad man...

I started watching it after the first few episodes because my grandma said it was good. I'd never heard of it. I'd laugh a few years later when I got pretty much everyone else watching it and it was all because my grandma told me about it.

The Sopranos was good too, but it was just way too long and they'd have like 2 1/2 years in between a season sometimes. It was hard to keep up with. I never actually watched it all until I torrented it after it was over. I've still never watched the last episode. Everybody hated it, and I didn't want to hate it.

If you do watch Rick and Morty, you got to give it at least a few episodes for some character development. I have actually gotten people to watch it after showing them later episodes, because it's not entirely something that needs to be seen in order. The episodes, while having an arching story are also very episodic in nature.

One of my personal favorites so far was "A Rickle in Time". Probably my favorite episode was "Total Rickall". I think that A Rickle in Time is a good one to watch to pique your interest. While Total Rickall is great, I'm thinking that the nature of the episode makes it a bad candidate because it relies a bit too much on the personalities of the characters and you might not get it without having watched the rest.

Do Right, Be Right. :)
