Saw it yesterday - really enjoyed it. Gadot was gadorgeous. She was the embodiment of her character. Pine was great, they were a pretty swell couple. Fun all around. I thought the fight cinematography / choreography was over the top at first but then it won me over. It's a fantasy comic story after all!

Kudos to Patty Jenkins, director. I agree completely with her assessment of Gadot:
"[on casting Wonder Woman (2017)] I remember when I read in the news that Wonder Woman had been cast and my heart sank. I had been talking to the studio for so long about doing it and I was like well 'that's that.' I'm sure we wouldn't have made the same choice. And then I started paying attention to her, and watching her and looking at her and it was just unbelievable. (...) Frankly, I think they did a better job than I could have because I don't know that I would have scoured the earth as hard to find her. I don't know that I would've looked internationally. I would have just looked for an American girl. The fact that they found Gal [Gal Gadot] and chose her is a magical gift to me. (...) She shares every quality with Wonder Woman and that's no joke. It's one of those rare things. You need someone who can appear to be Wonder Woman on screen. That's what you're looking for - someone who can embody all of those. [2017]"

Watching the TV show, I hadn't realized they had migrated the electronic sound effects over from Six Million Dollar Man. When WW was moving heavy objects or doing physical feats, although she was not bionic.

Aside from Linda Carter and her big, beautiful...eyes, was the fact that Lyle Waggoner played the part of her love interest, Steve Trvor. He had a long running gig on The Carol Brunett show, so it was just funny as heck to me , even as a kid. How could that show be seen as anything but goofy , campy junk t.v. ? Typical 70's stuff.
