Somewhat out of the blue, with all the B5 stuff going on at the moment, JMS is now writing Fantastic Four. Doesn't say whether he will be leaving Amazing Spiderman, although I hope (and suspect) not; he's written multiple monthlies before with only a major hitch caused by a real freak occurence of work - never been as bad as Kevin Smith who seems to start writing even a mini-series and then get bored!

I think Kirby and and Lee may have gotten there first...

Good luck to JMS, it's gonna be hard to follow Mark Waid's run. I hope he doesn't succumb to the "trite twist" M.O.
And for folks who likethe feeling of family on FireFly, there's another FF with that same good feeling, when it's at it's best, that you may want to look at.

Not looking forward to this.

"Sins Past" totally crapped on Spider-Man AND Gwen Stacy.

Simon: You...you came for us.
Mal: You're on my crew.
Simon: Right. I guess I just didn't...you don't even like me.
Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

And this has what to do with Firefly?

And who the hell is JMS?

Sorry, not a comic book geek.

Hah I too think he ruined a major chunk of spider-man's mythos with that. I wouldnt be surprised if he makes johnny actually a bastard child of sue after she was molested by her father. If anyone thinks that is too heinous to even suggest, then i submit what he did to gwen was not far off from this.

End of the day, it was good storytelling for me, so I enjoyed the arc. I'll admit, I'm not hung up on Peter Parker's history - I got into Spiderman when I was a kid with the UK reprints, so missed the earlier stories.

In the interests of not starting another flame war and burning the board down, I'll not comment on the remainder of the post

(MBV stares mournfully into the middle distance, much as if accepting a Golden.... Globe.... eyes missing the hidden microphone)

I can never forgive those Goblin bastards... they cloned my son... that I never had...
