You should check out Veronica Mars, UPN Tuesday 9pm. A columnist at TV guide recently said it's "the wittiest series since Buffy." Alyson Hannigan is going to be in several episodes during February sweeps. According to this article http://www.eonline.com/Gossip/Kristin/Archive2005/050122.html, Alyson called Veronica Mars the "new Buffy" and she was a fan of the show before she even got the part.

I wasn't too impressed with point pleasant. Although it does have an interesting story line. I don't think the dynamic character relationships are strong as they should be, hope it gets better.

Keep shiny!

Go for the New Battlestar Galactica. In my opinion, it rivals Firefly, although I enjoy Firefly a great deal more.

NUMB3RS on CBS seems like a good show. I've only started watching it last week. Even though I didn't jump in at the beginning of the season, I had no trouble following the story line. It airs Fridays at 10 PM EST.

I love 'Veronica Mars'! It is my favorite of the new shows this season. And now you say Alyson Hannigan is going to be on it? Woo! And, might I add, hoo!

What channel/time/day is this 'Veronica Mars' on? Also for the person who started this thread...LOST has some Buffy/Angel writers/actors.

Very disappointed in Point Pleasant. Off my viewing list. Like Lost and Rescue Me. I've also started watching Medium on Monday night at 9:00 p.m. EST.

Tuesdays, 9pm, UPN. This puts it in direct competition with another show I enjoy, Fox's 'House'. Sigh.

EVERYONE who watches 'Numb3rs' started watching it last week. That's when it debuted. Only 2 episodes have aired so far.

I didn't see the first two episodes of PP - after Herc's review on aintitcool, I had absolutely no desire to watch. So when I was visiting my friend and he flipped it on, I was not excited at all. And while I don't think they've corrected the flaws that Herc picked apart, I see a lot of potential in the show.

Just do something about the acting.

Yeah, Kaylee4Simon, it's nice to see Rob Morrow get a series again. He seems to have matured a bit since 'Northern Exposure'. I like seeing Peter MacNichol and Sabrina Lloyd, too.

The acting is really bad on the show. So much so, I just can't get into it. I like the idea of the story it just doesn't work.

Tuesday 9pm is probably the most jammed packed hour this season with Veronica Mars, House, The Amazing Race, and Scrubs. I love Scrubs, but this year I'm taping that show so I can watch Veronica Mars.

After Angel was cancel I was depressed at the prospect of a Whedonless TV landscape. Much to my delight Rob Thomas's Veronica Mars has been able to fill that void. For you Cupid fans, yes this is the same Rob Thomas who created Cupid. I haven't been this excited awaiting the next new episode and nervous about low ratings since Firefly aired.

Veronica Mars's combination of a brilliant lead actress who can make you laugh and break your heart, witty dialogue, solid continuity, a backstory that make sense, deep and layered characters, and a every widening, yet understandable mystery has made this my favorite show of the season. Even though this is a noir teen detective show, I think it is fair to say that this show has out-Buffyed Marti Noxon's disappointing Point Pleasant. You have to admire a show where the writers care so much about the little details that they have debates about whether to use the grammatically correct "Veronica Mars is smarter than I" or the more idiomatic "Veronica Mars is smarter than me."

If you're familiar with TWoP, Couch Baron who did the Buffy recaps, also does the recaps for Veronica Mars. He has given 8 out of the 12 episodes a grade of A- or better, which in his own words is "frankly unbelievable."

Alyson was originally signed on to do only the Feb 22 episode. They are still working out the details, but the writers, cast and Alyson have made it clear that they want her to return to the show.

Veronica Mars is fabulous.

Lost is unbelievable. Soooo much pretty! And Uncle Fury!

Can't forget Alias. Bunch of Mutant Enemy writers there now and the snark quotient has definitely improved.

I am enjoying Medium very much although I would prefer Patricia Arquette to have a couple more facial expressions.

Point Pleasant has SOOOOOOOOO much promise and I am giving Marti at least 6 eps before I pass judgement. Every ep has been better in my opinion.

I am all a quiver waiting for Tim and Jane's new show in March. I've been trying to entice tidbits out of Adam on the OB but, as of yet I have no luck.
