Best Episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Season One:
•Prophecy Girl - In the first-season finale, Giles discovers an ancient prophecy which states that Buffy will face the Master and she will die...

Season Two
•When She Was Bad - Buffy returns from her summer vacation and is not the same slayer she used to be...
•Lie To Me - Ford, an old friend of Buffy's from L.A., shows up unexpectedly in Sunnydale.
•Innocence - After a night of passion with Buffy, Angel awakens as a soulless monster.
•Becoming part 1- How it all has begun: how Angel became a vampire, how Buffy became a slayer, and how Willow is starting to become the ultimate witch.
•Becoming part 2 - Buffy arrives too late to save the gang from Drusilla's surprise attack.

Season Three
•Anne -Unable and unwilling to cure her pain over killing Angel, Buffy has left Sunnydale, and is now working as a waitress in Los Angeles.
•Amends - While the gang prepares for their Christmas vacation, Angel is haunted by visions of his violent past.
•Doppelgangland - Anya convinces an unsuspecting Willow to assist her with a spell that will return her amulet and, with it, her Vengeance Demon powers.
•Gradualtion Part 1 - The gang seeks a cure for Angel, who has been shot by Faith with a poison arrow.
•Graduation Part 2 - Buffy forces Angel to drink her own blood to rid his body of Faith's poison. The gang decides to rally the masses of Sunnydale High to defeat the Mayor once and for all.

Season Four
•The Freshman - Buffy joins the U.C. Sunnydale, but she is feeling lost and confused in the new environment.
•Hush - The creepy demons "The Gentlemen" capture the voice of the population of Sunnydale, to steal human hearts without scream.
•Who Are you - Faith and Buffy switch bodies, and Buffy, trapped in Faith's body, is kept in police custody.
•Restless - Bufy, Willow, Xander and Giles decide to spend the night watching videos at Joyce's home. They fall asleep and they all share a nightmare with the first slayer.

Season Five
•Family - It's Tara's 20th birthday, and her family arrives in town without any prior notice to take her home.
•The Body - Buffy is completely destroyed when she arrives home and finds her mother dead on the couch.
•The Gift Buffy and the gang go to battle so save Dawn from Glory, knowing that not all of them will survive.

Season Six
•Once More With Feeling -Sunnydale is alive with the sound of music as a mysterious force causes everyone in town to burst into full musical numbers.

Season Seven
•Chosen - After killing Caleb and returning home, Buffy is struck with an ingenious idea using a powerful scythe that she acquired at the vineyard.

Yippee I get firsties!!

A top ten out of 20 episodes??
I'll go with top five, although choosing five is hard enough as they all have their moments and rank amongst the best.

1) Hush. Funny, creepy and so inspired.
2) Anne. This has always been a favourite for when she decides to be Buffy again (the way she says "I'm Buffy, and you are?" is still a great moment even now) and then the following fight scene that just goes and goes.
3) Dopplegangland. Vampire Willow. Genius idea.
4) The Body. For having the guts to do an episode that remains so powerful to this day.
5) Becoming Part 2. Buffy and Angelus finally fight for real. And then Angel returns.....nuff said.

"I don't believe in suicide, but if you'd like to try it it might cheer me up to watch."

Creepiest: Hush.
Most emotional: The Body.
Best episode to see if you can only see one but still want to get the most of what Buffy is about even though it's totally different than every other episode and doesn't have Angel in it: Once More With Feeling.
Most Lynchlike: Restless.
My personal favorite: Doppelgangland.
Best Little League moment: Chosen.

The Single best episode of Buffy is "The Body". It has the most moving story in Television history. I think if you can go back two to three years later and still feel the same way you did when you first saw it is amazing writing and directing. It stands out in a season in of stand out episodes.

If I had to pick other eps I would say ...

The Body
Once More with Feeling
The Gift
Hush

Edit: I just saw it 7 months after seeing for the second time (the first being when it originally aired) and it still effects me. I feel like each one of them I want to punch the wall and ask why this happened and I need to be told why (like with Wash, why him, what do we do now, can anyone tell me? Why can't Book just get back in his body?) I just want to see the Body. Amazing Writing, Directing and Story Telling. If you don't cry when watching this Episode you have no heart beating in you. OK maybe I've over stated it a little bit but as I've said I just saw the ep.
