Now we are entering Summer, so before we forget the gems from the first 5 months, which of them were your favorites?
Whether just thrilling, or funny, or best mystery, or overall Oscar-worthy, which were the best.

Sometimes waiting until the Fall makes it harder to remember.

I think mine are:
Ready Player One
Solo
A Quiet Place
Red Sparrow
15:17 to Paris
Tomb Raider
Deadpool 2
Death Wish

Others mentioned in this thread:

Black Panther
Annihilation
Infinity Wars

This has been a pretty pathetic year so far, huh?

Let's see.... From the lists here so far...

A Star Wars movie nobody cared about or saw....

Two video game movies...

3 comic book movies...

A remake...

Leaving us only with 2 thrillers and 2 sci-fi/horror movies that may or may not be rip-offs of other movies.

Boy, I can't wait until Oceans 8!

Do Right, Be Right. :)

I am not sure, maybe there has just been a dearth of good films this year.
A concentration in the first few months.

I have not had much spare time recently, but normally by this time of year I have heard of some gems. Good story, live action, either intriguing plot or lotta laughs.

I had planned on letting Tag pass on by, but SGG makes me consider it.

I am hoping Alita makes up for the wait, but was Solo the best recent entry?

Have there been any hidden gems that I missed?

Now that summer is over, and before the Award Season onslaught, what do you recall as the best films of the year so far?

With Predator out, and MI6, I need to revisit this list.

Man, some of those seem like they were last year - I've been busy this summer.

I must add "A Star is Born"

also "El Royale" and MI6 for pure action and entertainment.
