I am new to Firefly and have only just recently become a member of FireflyFans. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for being a generous, kind, and helpful group of people. I have asked stupid questions, been unable to figure out how to use the underline function properly (then had the same problem trying to quote), and generally bumbled my way through the site. Someone always came along and answered my questions or showed me how to do what I needed to do, without once making me feel like an idiot for not knowing how things worked. Thank you for making me feel welcome and wanted. Browncoats really are the best people in the 'verse.May you all have a safe and shiny holiday season!

Welcome aboard and thanks for the kind words. It does the heart good to see new recruits like yourself join the ranks. If ya posted this already, I'd still like to hear how you became a fan. So few seem to have caught Firefly when it was on t.v. How'd you find your way to the FFF 'verse ?

My brother got married in Dallas in September, and at the after reception reception at their local hangout bar he and the best man found out that I had never seen Firefly. I always meant to when it was on TV because I was a fan of Joss, but it was on at 6 here and I was never home from work to catch it. So anyway, Henry (the best man) decided that I MUST see Firefly. When he got home to North Carolina, he FedEx'd me his DVDs with the strict instructions that I was to keep them for no longer than one month. I watched them, was hooked from the first episode, and cursed violently at the end of 'Objects In Space' at the idiot Fox execs who cancelled the show. Then I made my way here
