What are the riddles called?

I just finished this really fun riddle that most of you have probably already seen and completed with no problem. It's the one called "Einstien's Riddle" and the question is "Who owns the fish?"The way it works is there are 5 different colored houses with 5 people of 5 different nationalities living in them. The each smoke a different brand of cigarettes, drink a different drink and own a different pet.
We are givin all sorts of hints like, "The red house in is the middle." and "the German lives nextdoor to the person who drinks milk."
Anyway, I really enjoyed solving this riddle, and I'd like to find more like it. What are these riddles called? I know there are lots of riddles of this nature out there, and I'd like to google it. I keep finding this specific riddle, but no links to more. A little help?

I don't know wher eyou can find more. We used to solve those all the time in school. My 4th and 5th grade teachers had stacks of them. It was fun. We made little graphs that tracked each point until we had filled in all the boxes. Try an Educators resource site.

Yeah, I used to do them in school, too. I love them. I can't remember what they're called, though. But, I don't know if this helps, but I think I had a book of them once. You know how you can buy crossword or word puzzle books? I think I had a book of those puzzles. So maybe check at a bookstore in the game section? You could also try a teacher's shop. And if you find a website, will you post it so I can see, too?

They're just called logic puzzles. Doing a search for "logic puzzles" on Google should get you more than you can work in a year. :)

There is a computer shareware game I used to like to play, called "Sherlock". On a grid. you have a several faces, several houses, numbers, fruit, etc. Then, you have a series of clues - the 3 is next to the red house, the banana is left of the apple, etc. It sounds a lot like what you are talking about. Thanks, Starrbaby! Now I've got this burning desire to do these logic puzzles. Pulled several off the internet yesterday. Aaargh.
