Guess who came for dinner....

Saturday, September 10, 2005 6:54 PM

Well...I suppose (grin) that with all the support and good feelings that I've gotten from my fellow browncoats over the last few years that I should share something a bit.

It wasn't exactly dinner time, so forgive the title just a bit :). The long tall and skinny of this is that I received a visitor last night that has been long in coming. About 9 yrs long, I should say.

As most of yas know, I did not have the honor and priveledge of growing up with my sister as a fixture in my life other than for "what if's" and the once or twice a year visits whenever my "mother's first husband" decided to remember that he had a son....

Well..it took a bit, but she is currently sacked out on my couch after a long night of excitement, joking, lauging, etc etc. I am sure that the bad feelings shall come later when we talk about all that's happened (mostly from myself, I tend to keep important conversations for in person).

As for now...not even the most asinine and rude person that I encounter at work probably will not be able to even put a ding into my good mood! I can honestly say that I am in the best mood I have been in in a very long time. Which is to say that I have absolutely NO idea how to handle it lol. I would probably have to work hard to come up with the caustic sarcasm that's my trademark here!

So...for just this one time, I love you all..trolls included, for just this one day! Tommorrow, however, is another day :P

Well, an update of sorts.

She has to leave to go back tommorrow morning and I have to work, in addition to working today.

I have tried unsuccesfully to get the day off or even half a day off. Managers, supervisors, and even my fellow workers here simply don' care enough to help me have just a little time to spend with my baby sister.

I am now completely, totally, utterly fed up with this damn place. I'm always the one that does the favors and helps people out, but the only time I need help, there's none to be found.

So I am now going to start actively looking for another job. I am sure that somewhere, an employer would value a hard worker that's extremely intelligent, adaptable, witty, and knowledgeable. Comcast has certainly wipped out the proverbial straw this time...
