Am I just hearing Firefly *everywhere*?

I was watching a rerun of Cheers (it's 2am... what ELSE is on?) and Norm was having a heart-to-heart with Sam. They were talking about Norm being tempted to have an affair on Vera and Norm admitted that he would never do that. His line:"I mean, I have urges, sure. But if I acted on them, I'd be no better than a rutting pig."
Now, rutting is used like it's SUPPOSED to be. A rutting pig is a pig in heat and it's probably the origin of the curse on Firefly. Still, as soon as he said it, I pictured Jayne saying it: "No better'n a ruttin' pig."
That just amused me at 2:30 in the morning ;-D

i love Cheers! we both should be in bed by now...us okies...and yes, you are just hearing it everywhere....i find A Different World to be quite entertaining at this time of night...NORM!

LOL! Weetabix, I didn't even think of the Vera connection!
And yes, thatweirdgirl, all Okies should have been snug in their bed last night at 2am... I didn't end up going to sleep until... well, the last time I looked at the clock it was 4am. *yawn*

Yesterday I saw an ad for The Greatest Game Ever played and the caddie said, "Easy peasy lemon squeezy." I started using easy peasy ages ago and my mom thought it was something I'd picked up from my kids.
