So Gina Torres is reduced to playing a weak chick on "24"

My roommate turned on "24" and I was amazed to see Gina Torres on the screen. As I am not a fan of the show (how much can happen to one guy in a three day period before he goes completely insane?) I had no idea she played a reaccuring character on it. It was so bizarre to watch her nearly break down and cry as an only slightly intimidating man lightly interrogated her. I kept expecting her to pull a gun and say something catchy. But then, not every character she'll get to play will be as kick ass as Zoey. And by the way, I know she has bills to pay, but what's with her taking FOX's dirty dirty money??

Don't forget her role as Cleopatra in Herc/Xena... Talk about a strong lady!
Anyway, I suspect that if you have a contract with the network, you have to take their money, dirty or not. Just think of it as poetic justice that F*x will have to keep paying her until she quits to work on the movie... Then Universal can pay her to reprise ZOE!!!

She was pretty awesome in the first season of Alias as well.

Yeah, I really like that she's so versatile - I actually view it as a positive, it makes her a better actress in my eyes to be able to do the strong as well as the weak.
Also, 24 doesn't run successive days - a year passes between seasons 1 and 2, and three years pass between 2 and 3. I really like the show, especially this day.
