If we can recoup the cost of the budget through foreign sales so that the DVD sales are pure gravy to universal, we might, just might have a chance at a sequel. Still alot of countries out there that have yet to see our little film. So lets not get too discourged.

The thing that makes feel hopeful about the future of our little endevour is that fact that sales on the orignal series are up at Amazon.com. Not bad for a DVD collection that came out almost 2 YEARS AGO!!!

And those people buying are not people who fell in love with the show when it was aired. Those are people who fell in love with movie and were starving for more. Our fanbase is only increasing. And I think, though I may be wrong, that sales of the Serenity DVD are going to be very, very strong!

The odds have always been against us, as Mal said in the pilot. We keep on going.

Sans-culottee means 'without fancy pants'- it was what the french revolutionaries called themselves because they wore working man trousers, instead of froofy silk girly pants. Goofy name for gun toting, red flag waving, revolutionaries, but the people's spring had a way of whimsy to it.
Anyway, sorry, just me being whimsical in the brainpan, thought the name sort of fit and I couldn't think of anything else french.

I wonder if people in France will pick up on the parallels in Serenity's main story to Victor Hugo's "Les Miserables." I thought they were pretty obvious, but I was probably the only guy in Alabama thinking that during the final act.

Of course, I don't think Hugo had masterbation jokes or Reavers.
