ok the blog section my profile was gettin' lonely and i'm bored. you know what's not fun? history. i mean i don't *really* care about germany's economy in the 1920s. though i only have these 2 history exams left! then i am FREE! (for 4 days. then i have to go back to school until the summer holidays =( )maybe i should try saying somethin' interesting so people will comment... you noticed how having comments gives you that nice feelin' in the pit of your stomach? kinda like when a complete stranger compliments you about somethin' your self concious about. in fact *exactly* like that as that's pretty much all it is.
ok, ok... somethin' interesting... between july 1914 and november 1923 the value of the german mark rose from 4.3 marks to the $ to 200,000,000,000!!
right, i'm goin' to go find someone else to bore. au revoir!

Hang in there...exams will end and then you can be bored in a whole new way:) If it makes you feel any better, we teachers are just as bored with the end of the year as you are ( note my recent posts) Plus now you know some fabulously obscure facts that could win you millions on a quiz show:)

I don't think I've ever had a 'nice' feeling in the pit of my stomach. That spot's always been reserved for the anxious, uncomfortable, bad ones.
But I don't think it's history that's not fun, I think it's the stupid exam that's not fun. Learning in order to pass a test sucks the inherent interest out of any knowledge. Your example of Germany's economy in the 1920s is a perfect example. That *should* be interesting! It gives total insight into the state of Germany following WWI, which is what fueled the rise of Hitler and the NAZIs, and subsequently the Holocaust and WWII. It shows us that crushing an enemy after their defeat, without helping to rebuild a viable nation, can come back to bite you in the a$$! Yet, put it on a test and GOOD LORD I'd rather be doing something else.

You know what's even worse than history?
CANADIAN HISTORY.

you know i actually never knew that... maybe we should do more canadian history in school! ok maybe germany's more interesting than that. personally prefer russia though. my friend, mark, has this *really* worrying obsession with trotsky, which makes history lessons slightly more fun/disturbing. hes taken to calling him 'trotters'!!
