Accident, Again

Driving to work this morning. Ducks decide to cross the road. A car coming the other way swerves to avoid them. The car infront of me brakes madly to avoid it. I brake, just not as madly. I hit the back of the car infront.

While they seemed to have at most a big dent, my bonnet got half-curled back up the front, mashing my radiator as it went, and the front lights went too. Both the other people (who were very understanding and chalked it up to 'just one of those things') and the people at the garage were surprised the airbag had not gone off.

Everyone was okay and unhurt, just rattled.

So now my car is in the garage again, and I've got a hire car again, because I forgot/neglected to call up my insurers and put a courtesy car on my insurance for only an extra £15 a year.


Bloody annoying, I can tell you.
