Mom's memorial service is less than 11 hours away now. As she was cremated, we opted to wait a week for the service so that family and friends from out-of-state would be able to make it. My best friend won't be able to make it, however, as she had outpatient surgery yesterday. I told her that I'd come visit her in a few days and for her to take it easy.I had a number of things I needed to do yesterday, and only managed to get the laundry done. And now I can't get to sleep, so I'll probably surf online for a bit and then try reading myself to sleep.

Don't forget we're all here for you, RMMC. While my own mother is still alive and kicking...I can certainly imagine how I would be dealing with things in your shoes:(
Just remember: she loved you and she would want you to keep on having a wide variety of moments - happy, sad and everything in between - for the rest of your own days. Oh...and you're in our thoughts:)

RMMC- I know you know we're all here... and that we love you....
I just wanted to let you know that it does get better. When my father passed away ( he and I were so close ) I thought I'd never be ok again... and I can truly say that with some time... it gets easier.
Not better... but easier. *big hugs*
