The word won't mean a lot to most of you guys. Another medical name for it is chorea huntington. Seems that one of my family is affected.COMMENTS: 3

Huntington's Disease? Oh shite....my deepest sympathies, Solan. From what I have heard, it's not the most pleasant of afflictions. Please let your family member know they are in the prayers of people who care:)

Thanks, guys. From what I gather it involves dementia, hyperkinesis and lots of other unpleasant stuff. We should get the exact diagnosis within the next couple of days. Hoping for the best.
The one thing I can say is that that family member is not related by blood - so I guess the rest of us is safe. Still. Not a good thing.
