From Russia with love...

Monday, September 3, 2007 11:32 AM

I have been in St. Petersburg for exactly 5 weeks now. Im starting to get a bit homesick. It is a very beautiful and interesting city, but living out of a suitcase in a hostel starts to loose its charm. I have the first russian exam on wednesday, and I hope it will go allright. The oral is on friday... that one will be the worst. I hate oral exams.

Its only one week left, one more week to try to get as much fun and education as possible out of this city. Its a rather exhausting thought, but i have already been to the eremitage twice and many of the other big museums so maybe its time to focus on the vodka...

Enjoy yourself. I lived in Pushkin, just outide St. Petersburg for 18 months teaching English. It's a great little town and you should check it out. The Catherine Palace and park are just amazing. And the best vodka is Russian Standard or Peterburg. Baltika 3 or Nevskaya light are the best beer. I'm going at the end of September for a week. Have fun, tavarish! Dosvidanya!
