I get so annoyed

I like to write. I really do. But it's one thing to know the end and some of the things in between the beginning and the end and then to flesh out the story. So, you know what you want to ultimately happen, you even know (kinda) what goes on along the way. But hen you have to fill it in, flesh it out, make it all cohesive and linear. Or not. It's a pain. I know what happens, but I can't just invite you into my head and show you.I guess you can say I'm feeling stilted. Not blocked per se, just frustrated.

I feel you there. It's one of my hardest hurtles to jump and still it hangs me up so often. Like now. So don't fret, i feel your pain.

Hey, I know what you mean. So often I have the great idea - and I mean GREAT - that no-one's done before. I even have the opening. Maybe know where it is going. And I write the end. Then what? To get from A to B is easy ... A to Z is so much harder. And things change as you go. What you think might be the story gets taken over by the characters, and suddenly you're writing an epic, and Jayne has stuck his head up and demanded to know what the gorram is happening.
Hang in there. Free write if you have to (as if just typing any old stuff) - sometimes you get the fingers going and the story comes all by itself.

I've had six months of him grumbling and cussing in my head. And that's a place no-one needs to be invited to see.
Just write the scenes as they come. Editing can come later. Or alternatively, you look over the pages, and think 'what was I on at that point!?'

Oh lord, I outlined the end of my fic nearly two years ago. Talk about problems filling the gaps LOL!
