Good to know, and a Browncoaty opportunity.

Monday, October 5, 2009 7:39 PM

A co-worker, originally from China, said that he liked my Browncoat tee shirt. ("May have been the losing side, still not convinced it was the wrong one.") The co-worker is not a Browncoat, but he saw the Chinese characters on the back.

"What does it say?” I asked him, point blank.

"Peacefulness, tranquility... something like that."

"Serenity?"

"Yes!"

Oh, the yayness. Then another co-worker, who saw what was going on, came by.

"Good to know. It could've said 'kick me.'"

Another person asked, "What's a Browncoat?"

I think I'm going to wear Whedonverse apparel to work more often.

Yep, the kanji is right. I got the exact same response from the waitress at my favorite Chinese restaurant.

You mean I’ve been walking around with “ Tranquility” written on the back of my shirt?

Sorry, couldn’t help myself, Z
