I haven't seen it, nor any of the other films, and have only read the first book. However, there is a lady I know who is a huge Potter fan and she has reviewed all of the films for my site - templetongate.net
She says this one is excellent, correcting some things she found fault with in the book. She intends to see it again tomorrow and finish her review then. I'll let you know when it's ready.

It has a great first two acts and a giant anti-climax conclusion. And I am not gonna talk about the epilogue.

Wow. I have heard reactions all over the board, from terrible to terrific. But I do want to see it because, after all this time I've just gotta, really. And I know the ending but, yes, I'd like to see it all translated into film. I's almost obligatory.

EC, nice site. I loved Eliza's writing, and I think she was spot on. I can't wait to see it--gona probably go this weekend.

My wife is a big Harry Potter fan. She’s read all of the books and I’ve accompanied her to every movie. I will say that the last two were my favorites. A must see for all fans, even those who haven’t read the books. Very emotional and very well written. My better half was sad to know that, that is all there will be.
Of course there’s fan-fiction, but I don’t thing she’s interested.
Anyway, don’t wait until the dvd comes out, catch it at the theater, well worth the price.

I found it to be more exciting than Part 1 - not surprising considering that Part 1 was more expository. Several scenes were very touching and emotional, for sure, and overall I thought it was well done. They did make at least one change to the events of the book, and although I'm not sure I agree with that change it did not take away from my generally positive feelings for the movie.
