Tie between "Rest in Peace" and "Standing in Your Way."
Really tough call, though, as I love almost all of them.

For a solid 2-3 weeks, I had that in my cd player and listened to it every day. So much to choose from, all so good.
'Rest in Peace' seems to be one which might most likely 'cross over' into air play. It's my fav. I think Joss said that they felt 'Under your Spell' was going to be the 'hit' song from the cd. " I'll never tell " is right there at the top, but I love the 'video' of that the most, where as I think the other 2 stand alone on their audio play.
I love that cd, all the songs are done so well.
People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

I actually love Buffy's opening number:
Going through the motions
And of course I really love Giles & Tara's duet:
I Don't Want To Go
But I think my very favorite has to be:
Walk Through the Fire
It reminds of of Tonight from West Side Story, when they have the different groups singing a kind of round, slightly different songs that all fit together into one kick ass climatic whole...
I particularly love the fire engine near the end!
(now I want to watch it again)

I loved hearing Joss remark how this number was intentionally Disney-esque, comparing Buffy to Ariel, who ever. It really is nicely done.

I'll have to go with...ALL OF THEM!!!
Seriously, it's too hard to choose. But if you want to know the ones that tend to get stuck in my head most often, it's "I'll Never Tell", "Going Through the Motions" and "Something to Sing About".

I would have to go with "Going Through the Motions" as a first and "Rest in Peace" running in at a hard 2nd. "Something to Sing About" is 3rd on the list.
It's funny how certain songs on a kiddy show can have such deep meanings. Go figure...
"Going Through the Motions" This is where I've been at for 6 or 7 years.
"Rest in Peace" is my current relations with humanity.
"Something to Sing About"
Give me something about Earth and it's people to hold on to, and find reason for being here; in a big bad world that is as evil as this one. Tell me something good about Earth and its people and I'll listen.

I find it a bit disturbing that anyone who's actually watched at least the majority of the show could even call it a "kiddy" show. That's ridiculous in my opinion. BUFFY is actually far superior and more "adult" than most so-called adult shows out there. It may have taken place in high school and been about growing up, but how in the world could it possibly be in the same category as, say, Barney or Dawson's Creek or even Charmed (my idea of "kiddy" shows)?

"They got! The mustaaaard ! Ooooooooooooouuuuuuuutttttt!!!!"
Okay, I'm kidding.
'Walk Through the Fire' is my personal favourite. Big group ensemble singing thing, plenty of drama and funny. I especially love Willow's "I think this line's mostly filler", Tara's sorrowful reprisal of 'What Can't We Face" and the part where Sweet sings in harmony to the rest of the group about how Buffy is walking to her death. Oooh!
Second is 'Standing'. It's sooooo closely followed by 'Under Your Spell', which is beautiful and sweet (and yet, in true Joss fashion, has a disturbing double meaning thanks to the episode the week before.)'Standing' wins purely because when Tony sang "I wish I could lay your arms down and let you rest at last" the line hit me so hard it made me shiver. A great, great performance of a great, great song.
