It's official! The Bedlam Bards will be hosting the Oklahoma Grand Shindig at the beautiful Tidal School Vineyards. This event will feature a Firefly/Serenity trivia contest, prizes for the best costumes, a charity raffle, hors d'oevres, a wine tasting, floating chandaliers, and a rousing concert by the Bedlam Bards. Tickets should cost a diamond the size of a testicle, but they're now available for only twenty dollars. (Tickets, not testicles.) Don't miss the ultimate Browncoat event in Oklahoma! When: Sunday, November 19th, at 3 p.m. Where: Tidal School Vineyards in Drumright, Oklahoma (midway between Tulsa and Oklahoma City) www.tidalschool.com How much: $20, including hors d'oevres and wine tasting. Additional wine may be purchased by the glass. Don't forget to bring a little extra cashy-money for libations, the raffle, and other great stuff. Ni-Hao, Browncoats, The Bedlam Bards and their album _On the Drift: Music Inspired by Firefly and Serenity_ are in the running for first place in both the Renaissance Festival Music Awards and the CelticMP3s Music Awards. As you know, every time we get a chance to mention Firefly and Serenity to folks who don't yet know about it, the Browncoat Army gains new recruits. It might seem a little surprising that a science-fiction album is doing so well in these other genres, but in fact people go wild any time we play a Firefilk song at a renfaire or a Celtic bar. I'd hate to think of any of you missing out on this fantastic event, so please order your tickets NOW! Tickets will *not* be available at the door, and the cutoff date for ordering is November 12th.
