Hey, I am trying to find out if there are any Browncoats in Knoxville, TN. If not, anyone interested in starting a group?

I've seen a few more over on the serenitymovie.com board, but as far as I know there's no group (organised or otherwise). I asked about starting up a Knoxville/EastTN. yahoo group but no takers, though it seems every other city and town in Tennessee has a Browncoat yahoo group.

Let's give it a try and find out. Although technically I'm not actually in or from Knoxville... but I think the Blount Co. Browncoats would probably have a much smaller following ;)

If you used easttn, it could encompass more places than just K-town, like Chattanooga and the Tri Cites. I dunno, though, just thinking out loud. ^^

All right! I will pick it up this weekend and get some site space available. Will try to have a site together by the time Serenity's out.

What do you guys think about regional viewing parties on a regular basis? I am looking around Knoxville for a space that would host a few folks and let us watch the shows (like a Mr. Gatti's).

And, I would love to have a shindig...

Thanks for the info, Jen! Was this started by someone on the board here? I would love to talk with you about ideas!

From what I am hearing at comic shops, cons, etc, there could be a huge group of people in ET we could enjoy the show with. Good stuff...

CaptJack, I certainly do know where Mountain City is! I grew up in Bluff City, just a few miles away from you.

Here's an update. I bought the domain, got the server space and have about 75% of the site coded. The server guys are setting up my access to upload now.

It's going to be a basic site with information about the group, a list of Shindigs by area (as they happen) and hopefully by next week, a bulletin board for chatting.

Right now the 404 page is all that shows but here is the official address:

I will post back when I get the pages uploaded. I will be looking for tons of feedback and lots of help with the site (read: hint).

Ok, so I'm a little late on this one, oh well....found this thread while tryin' to find out if there was some sort of BC crew based in Knoxville or somewhere close....I'm in Kingston, just a bit out of Knoxville.
